Yukon Klondike Hummer Adventure from Skagway, Alaska

Welcome to an unforgettable Yukon gold rush adventure in Skagway!

After transferring to the base camp just outside of Skagway, you will have a brief orientation before boarding your comfortable and spacious Hummer H3. Each Hummer holds up to four guests. If you do not have four in your group, don't worry; we will match you up. Once set, you'll head out to follow the same route of the Trail of '98. Your tour's small group of explorers will journey into the Yukon Territory, tracing the famous routes taken by the hearty gold prospectors in the late 1800s. You'll be driving your Hummer into the heart of the rugged wilderness made famous by fabled gold rush legends Robert Service and Jack London.

Your tour guide in the lead vehicle will entertain you with the lore of the gold rush era by means of an interactive radio system. Driving your own Hummer H3 provides you the freedom of exploring the Klondike Gold Rush routes from a bygone era in an intimate way. This adventure allows you to experience the beauty of Skagway and the Yukon Territory away from the crowds. Amazing vistas await you on this Skagway cruise port tour.

This Yukon hummer adventure will give you the opportunity to view Pitchfork Falls, Moore Bridge, Dead Horse Gulch, Bracket Wagon Trail, and Tormented Valley en route to the historic village of Carcross, named after the narrow Caribou crossing at the headwaters of the mighty Yukon River. After a short break, you'll travel to the World's Smallest Desert, and finally, the highlight of this Alaskan shore excursion adventure, Emerald Lake, known for its vivid turquoise water. Learn the story of Jefferson Randolph "Soapy" Smith, Skagway's most notorious outlaw, on your return trip to Skagway.

There are several points along your route where drivers can rotate and take photos. A drink and snack will be enjoyed during one of the stops.
