Dudhsagar Waterfall and Spice Tour
Dudhsagar Waterfall and Spice Tour
Journey by Jeep through the verdant forests of the Western Ghats region on this exciting full day tour. This trek travels over roads, rivers, and rocks to discover highlights like the Dudhsagar Falls on the Goa-Karnataka border. Enjoy the view from the back of an elephant and learn local techniques on cultivating herbs and spices at a local farm.
Departing Goa with your guide, the first destination will be the 600-meter Dudhsagar Waterfall. Perched in the high peaks of Western Ghats, this waterfall is a sight to behold, especially during the monsoon season when it's in full and furious flow. From a distance, the waterfall appears like streams of milk rushing down the mountainside. The headwaters of the Mandovi River form a foaming torrent splitting into three streams and cascading down a near-vertical cliff face into a deep green pool.
Upon arrival at Dudhsagar Waterfall, you will enjoy magical moment's right out of the pages of the Jungle Book! Experience the joy of riding an elephant, take a refreshing swim with your new friend.
Hidden far away from the regular tourist zones in Goa, the spice plantation is accessed by boat along the river, where upon arrival, you'll indulge in a local herbal tea. See local men climb Betel Nut trees over a hundred feet above ground and find out how they collect ingredients for exotic spices. A buffet lunch is available (not included) demonstrating how spices enhance the flavor of Goan cuisine. This Goa tour is a truly unique opportunity to see the beauty of local culture that you won't want to miss.
