Alaska is one of the most awe-inspiring places on earth.

The largest state in the United States, Alaska is home to 17 of the 20 highest peaks in North America, more than 100,000 glaciers, 3 million lakes, 6,640 miles of coastline, 33,904 miles of shoreline, and more than 70 potentially active volcanoes. In addition to being one of the few places to experience the Northern Lights, Alaska is also home to iconic destinations such as Denali National Park, Kenai Fjords National Park, and Glacier Bay. From Alaska's majestic beauty to its staggering array of wildlife, it is truly a unique destination.

Sailing on a cruise ship is just the beginning of any Alaska vacation. The absolute magnificence and splendor of Alaska can only be fully realized by experiencing an Alaska shore excursion. Alaska Cruise Excursions to Inspire

On one of our Juneau shore excursions, take a float trip on spectacular, glacier-studded Mendenhall Lake, passing by the world famous 2.5 mile-wide Mendenhall Glacier or experience a whale watching cruise and see a humpback whale up close. Other Juneau shore excursion trips include a city tour or gold panning adventure where you can relive Juneau's gold rush history by panning for gold and then enjoying a delicious salmon bake at Salmon Creek.

In Ketchikan the spectacular Misty Fjords Flight seeing Tour is a must-see experience that will provide a lifetime of memories. The Misty Fjords National Monument is a 2.3-million acre piece of pristine wilderness that must be viewed by floatplane; it is the only way to truly take in its majesty - soaring cliffs, saw-tooth ridges blanketed in trademark mists, sky-blue lakes, endless waterfalls, icy saltwater fjords and miles of glacier-carved gorges. As part of our Saxman Native Village and Ketchikan City tour visit the world's largest standing collection of totem poles and hear the legends and stories of how and why they were made.

In Skagway our Helicopter Dog Sledding Adventure day excursion begins with a helicopter ride to a glacier dog sledding camp where you will share this adventure with 80 Alaskan huskies and hear unique personal accounts of the Iditarod, back country experiences and have an opportunity to ask questions. Feel the excitement as the team is hooked up, then you're off! Also from Skagway we offer many Alaskan tours into the Yukon territories including horseback riding and dog sledding adventures. Or enjoy an exciting raft trip down the Chilkat River through the famous Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve, the world's largest concentration of Bald Eagles in North America.

For our active customers we offer a variety of hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing and zip lining cruise ship excursions in most of our Alaskan ports. For our fishing enthusiasts, we have many options including salmon fishing, Halibut fishing, skiff crabbing, skiff fishing, fly fishing, or spin fishing. Our fishing shore excursions are offered in Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka.

Alaska's not the only ultimate destination on the eastern Pacific. If you're looking for a warmer adventure, a Hawaii shore excursion might be just the ticket.

Best Alaska tours to glacial lake.
Best of Juneau

The excursion was worth the cost of admission. We were picked up at the pier for whale watching. The captain and the nature guide were outstanding in their knowledge and appreciation of the whales and the water on which we were traveling. We saw many whales, and at one point in time, the captain needed to move away, as the whales were too close. A little later, he had to completely shut off the engine, as we were surrounded by humpbacks. The next stop was the Mendenhall Glacier. Most of the group went to the Park headquarters, and watched the video and viewed the exhibits. Some of us did the short walk to the waterfall at the base of the glacier. The last stop was the salmon bake, which was awesome. The salmon was cooked over an open fire, and served with a variety of sides. Beer was available for purchase, and there was a woman quietly playing her guitar and singing, adding to the beautiful evening. When we were done, the tour took us back to the ship in plenty of time.

Skagway ride and suspension bridge
July 17, 2022
It was a very relaxing way to spend an afternoon in Skagway. Dale, our guide, was quirky in a good way. He made us feel totally at ease for the drive to the suspension bridge through some drop dead gorgeous scenery. He knew some of the best photo stops, and we saw some wildlife in the form of eagles and a black bear along the way. Clearing customs was a breeze both ways, and the stop at the suspension bridge was different than I expected. It is very stable, and the views were amazing. The walk to the bridge, and the cabin at the other end had a lot of information and exhibits. It was also a very good gift shop. When back in Skagway, Dale made sure that he had time to take us to a beautiful waterfall that flows through the historic cemetery.

Amazing tour guide

The owner and his daughter were great during the bus ride over to the to the glacier. I learned a lot about Juneau and Alaska history and saw some bears on our way! You get dropped off at the park and you walk around on your own, it was amazing and so beautiful!

Glad we picked this one
July 16, 2022
I’m so glad we decided on this bus tour instead of the train. We had the opportunity to stop for photos several times and our driver Mike was a virtual encyclopedia of gold rush history. Caribou Crossing was great: lunch was good, the hot tea was very welcome, and the wildlife museum was interesting. We really enjoyed seeing the sled dogs run and seeing the puppies. This is one of the longest excursions available in Skagway and you really get a lot to see and do. Even though the day was cold and rainy it was a great time and I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. This was only the second time we booked an excursion not thru the cruise line and the experience was just as good.

Whale Watching in Juneau
July 16, 2022
We were disappointed in this Juneau Whale Watching trip. We only saw a few whales and they were very far away, so didn't get a good view. They did provide water and granola bars. Celeste provided great information about whales and the boat was very comfortable. Captain Ryan was very amiable.

Lovely tour of Sitka
July 16, 2022
We really enjoyed the entire tour... seeing the black and brown bears at the rescue center. The Raptor center was also very interesting and I got some great pics of owls and eagles. It was enjoyable to walk around Totem Park and see the totem poles and various native vegetation. Our driver, Vaughn was very knowledgeable about Sitka history and the area.

Great hike!
July 16, 2022
We really enjoyed the beautiful hike in the lush rainforest of Carlanna Lake Angler Access Trail. It was a beautiful and well maintained trail. The first half mile was uphill, then rolling hills after that. Sarah, our guide was very helpful explaining facts about the forest and area. Chris was our driver and was very knowledgeable about the area and was generous in sharing his expertise. Since our ship was leaving earlier than expected, he offered to drive us back to the port... saving us a taxi ride. We really appreciated him going out of his way to assist us. And the beer was great. A fantastic tour!

Must Do!
July 15, 2022
A must do when in Alaska. Our smaller, more personal boat was enjoyable. Our captain tried hard to take us to see whales outside of the big groups of boats.
