The Great Alaskan Tour

This package had it all. We started out seeing the Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls. When you get to the glacier you hike about 1 mile on a mostly flat path to the falls which are amazing. You get an upfront and close view of both the glacier and the falls. If you don't want to hike to the falls there are great vantage views from above. From there we went on the whale watching trip. This was fabulous. The boat seats about 30 people so getting a good view of the whales is great. We saw several and got some great pictures. After that we went to the Alaskan Brewery and sampled some great beers. The whole trip lasted about 5 hours including drive times to get you to each area. I would definitely recommend this excursion for all ages.

This was one of the best trips! The glacier was wonderful, a relaxing walk to see the glacier and then saw an Eagle up close on our trip back. The whale watching was great. It was educational as we were looking for whales. They went by a shore of sea lions that was amazing. And we saw several whales. I wasn't looking forward to the beer tour, but even it was great. They talked about the challenges they faced having a brewery and how they overcame them. All the tour guides were personable and entertaining. Highly recommended

Mendenhall Glacier was a thing of beauty. Whale watching was ok, saw a couple but quite far away. Scenery as enjoyable as whale watching. Enjoyed sampling beers at the Alaskan Brewing Co. Was able to sample 6 different beers for free. Tour guide was friendly and professional.

This was a great excursion. The Dolphin Jet boat Tours group was great. The hour at the glacier was a little too short, an hour and 15 minutes would have been perfect - you should take the mile walk to the glacier and waterfall - it's worth it! Whale watching was awesome. The small boat size and the very knowledgeable crew made it an educational and fun few hours. The guides for the bus transportation of the tour between stops were also very informative and friendly. My advice is to consider the time you ship will dock and the time of the tour. We were scheduled to dock at 1pm and the tour was to leave at 1:30pm. Our ship was late to arrive and we needed to tender in so we did not make it to the meeting point on time. They were very gracious and scheduled us for the next tour (3pm) but because it was late in the day, we were not able to include the brewery stop (very disappointed), but now we know for next time. I'd take this tour again if our travels ever take us back to Juneau.

This was a wonderful excursion. Only thing wrong was we did not do the tavern. Long day for excursion. The best whale watching ever with great guides.

Excellent tour and well organized. The Mendenhall glacier was awesome as we spent an hour walking to the waterfall and looking at the glacier. Then on to the jet boat for whale watching and we saw many Orcas and a humpback. Very cool and the tour personnel were very courteous and friendly. The Alaskan brewery tour wasn't exactly a tour but instead your in a room near the tanks looking through windows to the brewing area. A talk was given about the brewing process as we sampled 3 generous glasses on fine beer. Then out to the sampling room for 3 more glasses. Very nice! This tour is well worth the time and money as it was our favorite of the 7 tours that we were on on our 2 weeks in Alaska. Highly recommend this tour to everyone.

Great tour - so much to see and do. The waterfall was amazing as was the glacier. The boat trip to see the whales was fantastic - we saw so many!!!! The last stop at the Alaska Brewery was a perfect way to end our tour.
