Guide Rustin Gooden, Naturalist provided an excellent narrative exploring the Chilkat River basin.
Close up and personal to eagles, bears and moose in a gorgeous setting. Nesting Eagles as well as spanning Salmon. Enjoyed a much smaller group on the tour and it was less expensive than operated by the cruise line.

Jet Boat Adventure

We had the best time. If you don't have enough warm clothing don't worry, they had warm waterproof jackets to put on top of your own, blankets too. We got to see many bears and other wild life. Our captain CP was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Our guide (CK) was fun and full of information not only about our sightings on the river, but on Haines and the surrounding areas in Alaska. Great trip

Great Boat Ride

Our Jet boat adventure was a hit-and-miss for the local wildlife, mostly a miss because almost no wildlife was around. We saw a bear, a baby moose, some swans and a couple of ducks. The boat ride was real fun because the river was so low we thought we were going to get stuck on a sand bar at any time, but we had a great navigator and he made it exciting. After the boat ride they served us a hot dog lunch. A good day.

This was truly a highlight of the trip. Our boat commander was knowledgeable and he made it a point to take us where we would surely see bears. That was awesome. The people waiting back on land had a wonderful lunch waiting for us and treated us absolutely wonderful. Lunch was such a treat. All were so helpful to my husband who is partly handicapped. I highly recommend this excursion.

Relaxing trip

Definitely could've done without the additional van tour of Haines City. Guide was nice and knowledgeable. Boat ride and scenery nice. No wildlife other than eagles which we can see at home.
