Wetland Cruise Tour

Wetland's cruise
January 08, 2018
Once again, Shore excursions directions to pickup point can be confusing! The tour bus took us to the edge of the outback about 70 miles from Darwin. Our first stop was a Fogg dam, a place too dangerous to get out of the van( due to snakes) but filled with remarkable sites. Next we stopped for a shot time at THE Windows on the Wetlands Information Center, small but well done. Next stop was Carobarrea Tavern, Good place for a beer and a bite to eat. The guide on this trip was remarkable. He provide a running, fascinating commentary from pickup to drop off. During the cruise we spotted 4 crocs and unique birds including the Jesus bird The flowers and trees were beautiful. Lunch was served( great salad) .

The wetland cruise was very enjoyable. We saw a few alligators and lovely birds as we cruised around the billabong.
