Natural Wonders

This tour was a lot of fun. The cave was interesting, but the trip to Hunter’s Garden was amazing. The variety of flowers was unbelievable. Then to meet the owner was a hoot. Followed by the trip to the nature preserve. The feeding time was fun. The number of turtles took us by surprise. Best of all was our driver. He took the time to learn all of our names and entertained us with lots of stories.

This tour is prizewinning in the number and quality of experiences! The cave's length (travel by tram) and your ability to approach a pool and waterfall up close are really special, though the formations were less impressive than Luray Caverns. Hunte's Gardens were lovely and the ability to meet Hunte himself added to the experience. Lunch was delicious with the fresh air and view of the waves crashing on the beach. Best of all for me was the wildlife preserve, seeing how all the animals knew exactly when feeding time was. The tortoises started their slow marches about 15 minutes before any of the others! Then in dashed the monkeys at the last minute, and even stood on the tortoises to grab fruit. They were not bothered by the humans, but neither were they tame in any way. So, cute as they are, you should only watch and not bother them. Really an amazing place! Loved the whole day.

A day full of many things to see. Our guide was good ample time to see all there was. Tour was full but plenty of room and time. Lunch was delicious to say the least.

Our driver Stephen was fantastic. He learned our names quickly and was a wealth of information. He planned the trip well to make best use of our time, he took our lunch orders early so when we arrived the lunch was ready and it was very good. We had plenty of time at our stops to reply enjoy. The Huntes Gardens are spectacular. I would highly recommend them over the Flower Forest from previous experience. We arrived at the Wildlife centre just in time for feeding. Great Day.

During the cruise we were hoping to see some excellent botanical gardens. But while we were disappointed by what we saw at many destinations, the Andromeda Gardens took our breaths away! Every moment seemed to demand yet another photo. The earlier stop at Harrison Cave was also spectacular, The Natural Wonders excursion was, we thought, the best of the entire cruise.

Such a fun day! We were a small group so we could always hear, could get to know each other and had minimal waiting. Each stop on the trip was great. Our guide was fun and informative. The feeding of the monkeys, tortoises and deer was so fun! Great excursion!

Although our tour started out a little rocky as our initial driver had to transfer us to a different driver, it ended up being a wonderful tour. Charles, our resulting driver and tour guide was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. The Flower Forest was beautiful and provided spectacular views. The tour of Harrison’s Cave gave an unexpected dimension of Barbados. The east coast beach scenery was gorgeous and lunch was delicious. I especially liked my blackened fish and macaroni pie. The visit to the animal preserve was enjoyable as well.

Overall this tour was very well done. Our lunch with the option of flying fish or chicken was good. We began our day at Harrison's Cave which is beautiful, and not to be missed, but the Staff seemed a little disorganized getting our tour of the cave started.

I book all my cruise shore excursions with private companies as opposed to the cruise ship. The price is always far more reasonable and service better. After much research I chose shore excursions group/ natural wonders for my Barbados tour. I could not have made a better decision. It was a perfect day. The tour was composed of 4 others and myself and we went to Harrison's cave( really beautiful) the flower forest Bathsheba had a delicious lunch!!! and finished the day at the Barbados wildlife reserve. We were there at feeding time and it was a blast. We started off the day a little unorganized / running pretty late with no apologies/ no explanation ( and made me question my choice???) but once we got going... as I said... perfect day. Great guide/ new clean well maintained van / organized tour ...once we got going!!! I had a wonderful time.. will definitely use the company when in Barbados 1/2018. Really worth the $$!

We really enjoyed this excursion since it felt like we got to see the island, the tourist spots, and some local highlights all in one. Harrison's Cave was unique and riding the tram was a nice way to see it. The Flower Forest was beautiful, peaceful and it felt like we were the only people there. Eating at the local restaurant was cool and the portions were large. The excursion was timed perfectly to get to the Wildlife Reserve during feeding time so we were able to observe all of the animals together. It was amazing to see the mama monkeys with their babies! Our favorites were the tortoises. There were so many that they'd walk over your feet/shoes if you stayed in place for awhile. It rained at the Reserve while we were there but there was a sheltered area to use. Really a fabulous excursion.

Ryan was our driver/guide. He explained sights as we went to first stop, Harrison Cave. Within cave, Hyacinth was our guide. She was a friendly lady with a great sense of humor. Really enjoyed our time here. After cave, our group decided to go to Flower Forest. This had lots of beautiful flowers. We were given a laminated chart with pics/descrip to help us identify the flwrs. At the end, we were offered fresh juice---try the mango-pineapple. Yummy! Ryan drove us to Bathsheba where we had about 20 min. for pics along the beach. Then we went to lunch. It was delicious! I had the fish (husband had the chicken) and it came with macaroni pie, green salad, potato salad, and drink. We went by a sugar mill and to Cherry Top Hill. After this, we went to the wildlife preserve. Ryan got us there in time for the feeding-2 pm. We saw lots of monkeys, turtles, deer, etc. Ryan got us back to our boat with time to spare. Ryan was a friendly guide, and we really enjoyed this excursion!
