Great overview of Alesund, Norway

We had been to Alesund previously but only visited a small portion of the area. We realized we needed to see more the next time and this excursion was perfect for that. Besides, we had plenty of time to get off the bus several times to see many of the exciting attractions that this city is known for including at a high vantage point for pictures (without having to climb all those steps).

We had a limited amount of time during our port call from the Norwegian Star. The hop on/off bus allowed us to see most of Alesund. We then decided which stops to spend more time after hearing the recorded information on the bus.

My friend and I enjoyed our experience with Shore Excursions. First this is not the 1st time we’ve used them.
Check in from the cruise ship was effortless. Staff was very pleasant and made us feel comfortable. Our driver explained the stops he will make and gave recommendations. Value of our money is well worth it

This was a great way to see all the main sights in Alesund. Would suggest purchasing the ticket which includes admission to the Atlantic Aquarium which provides a substantial discount from purchasing it separately from the bus. A lovely clean city . The aquarium is magnificent and not to be missed. No crowding on the hoho bus and very prompt,friendly and courteous service.

The tour bus comes with headphones to listen to history and highlights of the city while you travel from highlight to highlight. There were many languages to choose from. It was always easy to spot a bus and bus stop.

A good way to get around the town. It gets a little crowded, so get out to busy early. The roads are a little thrilling. It is a cheaper way to see the area instead of taking one of the overpriced tours offered by the cruise lines.

Easy way to totally tour Ålesund.

Buses right at the pier, all the highlights are on the route, English ear piece guide. We took entire circuit once to decide which stops to hit, and get the lay of the land. Then got off at 3 different locations. Easy around the city. Only way to see the port city.

A great way to see the city

This may seem like a simple shore excursion to sign up for....but it really was just the right thing for Alesund. We so enjoyed the whole circuit, but we particularly enjoyed the Sunnmore museum which is an outdoor museum with lots of historic buildings that have all been moved there offering a beautiful/charming setting and a nice education.

A great way to see the city and hop off when you want. You pick up the bus right where the ship is parked-convenient. Takes about 70 minutes to make a round trip.

This tour allowed us to see a number of sites that were out of the way such as the aquarium and the lookout at the top of the mountain. The drive to the lookout was amazing.

Hop-On - Hop-Off Alesund Boat Tour

Our group spent a delightful day using the Hop-On/Hop-Off boats to move around the Copenhagen waterfront We had plenty of time to de-bark and explore parts of the city before re-boarding and moving through the canals. Tour-guides on the boat were great, as was the recorded content. We would do it again!!

Highlights of Alesund May 2018

Nice way to take in the highlights of Alesund. We stayed on the bus for a full go-around without getting off. There was plenty of interesting information shared on the tour. Guides were very friendly. The only issue was that for people who got off at popular tour points, there was not always room for them to get back on the bus. We left many passengers waiting behind for the next bus.

Very nice way to see Alesund. We took the entire round trip first thing and listened to the audio. Then we decided where to "jump off" for the rest of our stay in Alesund.

Great way to see port highlights

We usually buy a Hop-on Hop-off ticket for each port - great for an overview of the highlights and you can get off at any stop. Commentary in several languages via earbuds - you might want to bring your own for better quality sound. This ticket was a little cheaper than buying one at the pier.

Great way to get around on your own time. Easy to hop off to enjoy lunch, shop, take pictures, etc., and then get back on the bus. Enjoyed the ongoing commentary about what we were seeing, including some local history.

Since we ordered this excursion through Costco prior to our trip, we were able to quickly redeem our ticket for the hop-on and off bus once we arrived in port. Other passengers still had to purchase their tickets there which caused a line. This was a nice overview of the city and we were able to accomplish more through this bus. Highly would recommend this over the ship's excursion and save $$

Its a fun excursion me and mu husband enjoyed, we went on every destination the bus stop, took lots of pictures and have an adventure to go at the top of the hill to have a birds eye view of the city. Awesome
