Mykonos and the Sacred Island of Delos

If you're planning a trip to Greece, be sure to add Delos and Mykonos to your itinerary. Overall, this shore excursion was the highlight of our trip to Greece. The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience truly unforgettable. First up was Delos, a tiny island with a rich history that is well worth exploring. Our guide brought to life the ruins of the ancient city with anecdotes and stories that made the tour engaging and informative. The archaeological site is well preserved, and you can see the remains of temples, houses, and public buildings that date back to the 5th century BC. Next, we visited the beautiful island of Mykonos, famous for its picturesque windmills and charming whitewashed buildings. Our guide took us on a walking tour of the town, pointing out the best spots for food, shopping, and sightseeing. If you're looking for a great way to explore Delos and Mykonos, this tour is a must-do!

This was an excellent excursion, due primarily to the expertise of the guide Amaryllis. She was probably the best guide we have come across anywhere - she provided the right amount of information and did so concisely. The Mykonos (Delos) site has much to offer and we got full value from this tour, primarily because of the guide and her knowledge and approach. If it not already obvious, Amaryllis was exceptional.

Our guide Amaryllis was amazing. In a smaller group we could hear and see everything she described. Historical ruins are sometimes boring but she made it come to life and explained why the people built this island. The Mykonos walking tour was also interesting and informative. On our ten day cruise this was by far our best excursion.

This was a great tour. Well worth it. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. The island of Delos was amazing. Incredible what the ancients built.

Our tour was cancelled due to rough seas. We switched to a city tour which was okay.

What a brilliant day we had in Mykonos! Charming town, fantastic food along with a big wind which prevented us from getting to the Sacred Island of Delos. Tour was good, guide very informative and there was plenty of free time to explore.

This is a must see. So much ancient history I never new existed. Guide was great. The groups were small. They were really easy to find right outside our ship. If Shore Excursions are available, I would never take a ship excursion again.

This was one of the best excursions of our trip. The guys spoke exceptional English and was so knowledgeable about everything. We really enjoyed the tour.

Laura was a great guide, considering she arrived at the last minute to enable more tours (3 ships in port that day)! The Mykonos city was a brief tour but we were treated to fresh veggies at the harbor, and a local bakery made our lunch sandwiches for us. Delos is not given much description in this promotion, but it is a fascinating and vast site to explore. Laura was gracious about keeping our group together and giving us lots of information.
