Walking Tour of the Walled City

I was surprised that my husband and I were the only ones on this tour, it was great. Our Guide was a wealth of knowledge about Cartagena. We went on the tour fairly early, but it was worth it. The traffic to the old town as well as the town itself can get very crowded, as the day goes on. Our driver got us there very quickly with a safe car that had great AC. There were no crowds yet in the walled city. It was great seeing a lot of the vendors setting up and not being bothered by them like the large bus tours that were arriving while our tour was ending. You won't be disappointed, be prepared for a fun and informative day. Another note that the Lemonade being sold by the push cart vendors is the real deal with fresh squeezed juice.

We had a wonderful time. Our tour guides were fantastic. We were pick up in a car. Drove all over the old and new city. A lot of information about the city with multiple stops for pictures, shopping and lunch.. Highly recommend this excursion.

This was a great way to see the Walled City. Our guide was excellent and was a wealth of knowledge. Our driver was excellent as well and maneuvered our van through the crowded streets so smoothly! My suggestion for this excursion is that it needs to start on time. Our time in Cartegena was limited, and our tour started late because of waiting for people who signed up for the tour but never showed. We ended up getting back to our ship just in time, so that was a little nerve-wracking worrying if we would get back to the ship on time. I would recommend this excursion.

This was my favorite excursion of the entire cruise. We had a guide who took us took to remote areas even to the top of the catherel There were only 3 on the tour so we were able to avoid the crowds with shopping the the tour areas. Do be afraid ot hte traffic and crowd. Catergenia is the worst for crowds.

On the day of our tour, there was a nation-wide civil protest in Colombia. Our guide gave everyone the option to cancel, with full refund. Everyone opted to take the tour. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, but he also maintained constant radio contact with his company and rearranged the route of his walking tour to ensure that we did not get caught up in any of the hubbub of the demonstrations. We felt fully secure at all times, and received an in-depth overview of the cultural history of Cartagena from a delightful young man.

Did not know what to expect. Guide was professional and helpful. The hand artwork stop on the street was wonderful. I wish I bought a couple. He completed a painting literally with his hand in a couple of minutes. Beautiful! Wished we were not so rushed in the 2 jewelry stores though.

We had a private tour with a guide who was very informative. Not sure if no one else was interested or all their tours are private. Lots of history within the walled city. Wonderful walk through the city, very professional.
