Excellent full day tour. Very much enjoyed the sheep shearing show and all the other animals that we got to see. Excellent informative tour guide.

We were lucky in that my wife and I were the only participants in this tour. Our guide was a local Aucklander and provided a lot of information during our trip. Prior to visiting the sheep ranch we stopped at the Honey Centre and learned all about how the owners make all sorts of products from the bees they raise. Then it was on to Sheep World where we, amongother tourists, watched a demonstration of sheep dogs bring in the sheep from the pasture and then were thrilled to watch a sheep being sheared. We were entertained by watching a couple of volunteers trying to sort out sheep and send them to different pens. We also got to feed lambs. After the 60-minute "show" we were able to talk to the sheep shearer who was a friend of our guide. It was a great experience.

Wonderful Full Day Tour of the NZ Countryside

The first several hours of the tour were at Sheep World, where we saw an excellent sheep shearing demo, plus we fed the baby sheep with bottles. The Sheep World visit also included feed for us to feed the numerous farm animals which was a lot of fun. The day also included wine tasting at a vineyard, countryside sightseeing, and a visit to the Honey Center store. This tour was well worth it!!

The highlight of our brief stay in Auckland

We were picked up at the hotel and taken on a road trip all the way to the coast at the Tasman sea, as suggested by the name of the tour. We were a very small group and since we were not in a rush we spent the entire day enjoying stops at a winery and vineyard; a strawberry farm; a store that sold NZ made souvenirs; a garnet colony at the coast and finally, a visit to the tour owner's farm. The opened their home to us and offered tea and pavlova; very hospitable. The tour was informative, beautiful, and gave us a glimpse of life in rural NZ that we wouldn't have gotten anywhere else.

Do ot miss this excursion if you are in Auckland! Stuart and his wife Donna give you a wonderful cultural experience. From the moment he picks you up until he drops you off! Excellent value!
