ATV Island Adventure

our guide was Jesse he was very nice and helpful with the ATV for those that were new to it. The area we saw was great for going on an ATV. I would suggest a bandanna and glasses as it is very dusty. We had a blast on the ATV and the parts of the island we saw were cool. I only thing I would have liked better would have been more info on what we were seeing. The beach when we were done riding was great to wash away all the dirt. So clear a beautiful. I would definitely do again.

The guide led us all across the island on our ATVs and ended at a beautiful, secluded swimming spot. They also provide bandanas, shirts, and goggles for sale in addition to the helmets they provide for the duration of the tour.

I can’t recommend this tour highly enough; from start to finish it was everything we hoped it would be! Our guide, Francisco, doubled as a photographer and suggested a number of great, scenic places to take our picture. Throughout the afternoon, we visited the collapsed stone bridge, chapel, gold refinery ruins, lighthouse, and a secluded beach with 10-15 minutes to explore each place. We traveled by 4-wheeler and zoomed along city streets and rocky backroads. A particular highlight for me was rolling across the volcanic plain to the Lighthouse - I felt like I was in Mad Max. One tip: bring goggles or buy them (or the face mask) from the tour group. Some of the roads are dusty, and it will get in your eyes. Dusty or not, though, if you’re after adventure this tour is for you. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

It was our first time riding ATV's, it was great, we were a small intimate group that received Preston's full attention. The landmarks, the beach and the Island were great. A excursion we will always remember

We had a great time on our ATV. There was a bit more in town driving than expected but plenty of off road adventure. We saw ruins, natural bridges, a church, an overlook, and lighthouse. I was uncomfortable due to my age/arthritic hip joints and my single ATV didn't offer much variety in foot position. The guide noticed my discomfort and offered me his larger ATV. Standing up for the biggest bumps also helped. Be prepared that eye protection and face mask is recommended for this ride and they sell goggles and scarfs. I opted to wear sunglasses and it was not a problem. I was glad to have the scarf though. Other members in my family went for the goggles and found them comfortable. My ATV malfunctioned on the ride but it might have just been vapor lock or something as after a few moments it was running fine again. The stop for a swim at a beach was very nice and the water was beautiful. We really enjoyed this excursion and it was a definite highlight of our cruise.
