Best of Cairo

Tour guide was very professional, and extremely personable and knowledgeable about the Egyptian museum, its artifacts and the pyramids at Giza and sphinx. He also went out of his way to ensure that we were comfortable with all aspects of the tour. He even made a special detour to a T-shirt shop for us so we could purchase souvenirs for our friends back home. Would highly recommend this tour.

The excursion was very enjoyable. The guide met us at the port. Although the trip to Cairo is long, it is well worth it! Would highly recommend the camel ride at the pyramids as it is truly an amazing experience. Overall, it was a day you won't soon forget!
Great services(guider, driver, guard)

Great tour guider who spoke great English, was eager to introduce us the history and culture of Egypt, and accompanied us all time. The bus driver had great skill to pass the horrible traffic of Cairo. There was a security guider in the tour bus, and was alert, which made us feel safe in the tour.

Advantage of a local agency

It was easy to find the meeting point in the harbour of Alexandria. We have been in Cairo next to Tahrir-Square during protests. The ship´s land excursions to Cairo had been cancelled. The experienced guide and driver of the local company went to the Egyptian Museum without taking to much risk.
This made all other excursions plain.

I was apprehensive to schedule away from the ship's offerings, because Cairo was what I wanted to see most. What a surprise! We were greeted as we left the ship by a perky 26 y.o. girl (Shaimaa Zidan) with a sign (our name), took us down the street to a nice Kia SUV, air conditioned, leather, with the best driver possible. Just the 4 of us went to Cairo in comfort. Shaimaa was working on a masters degree in anthropology, personable, speaking great english. The pyramid area is a world treasure, and should be on everyone's bucket list. We went to a paper/papyrus factory/ art dealer (required), to a fragrance-glass blower (required), buffet dinner in a great resturant along the Nile River, and lastly a tour of the Egyptian Museum (Shaimaa knew everything about it) with King Tut's exhibit. We returned to pier approx 12 hours later. This was the perfect experience. We had shore excursions in every other port on a huge, but nice bus with a crowd, a guide that was just doing a job, which went ""thud"" after this trip. Driving in Egypt is crazy, with few rules. The buffet was unnecessary, because neither of us were hungry, but it was fun to sample all of the cuisine. Shaimaa loved Egypt and presented it that way.
