This tour was a perfect way to get to Rome from the Port and be able to get around easily to see the sites we wanted to see at our own pace. I liked that they actually had people working at the bus stops so you could ask questions and they kept lines organized so no one was cutting in front or trying to get on the bus without waiting their turn! So helpful, it made the experience more enjoyable. I would recommend this tour if you want to see lots of sites in one day.

Nice overview of the Rome

This was a great way to get an overview of Rome in the summer where the outside temps were hot and the bus was air conditioned. It was nice being able to hop on and off throughout the day.

Easy to catch the bus to Rome after the cruise. We weren't able to use the Hop on/off bus once we got to Rome because we also booked a walking tour of the Colosseum that took longer than expected.

Rome Tour by Bus--good way to see the city

Good way to circle the city and see the highlights. Slow going due to traffic, but all the passengers were pleasant and the ear phones worked well enough.

Buy your ticket ahead or on the street that day...the circle route has 8 major stops and you can get on and off...if you exit at the Coliseum you can buy a ticket on the street...walk to Coliseum, Forum, etc, and expect delays even if you buy a tour to skip the lines,,,but just being there even in a line is so spectacular you will not believe it until you look at your photos! Don’t miss the Forum! Do use toilets whenever you see one...there are hardly any anywhere unless you are in a restaurant.

From leaving the ship in the morning, to returning in the afternoon, all the connections ran like clockwork. The hop on hop off bus was great. It enabled us to see everything we wanted to see at our own pace. The coach taking us to and from Rome was easy and we were able to see more of the countryside.

Great way to get to Rome from Civitavecchia and much cheaper than what the cruise ship offers! The meeting point was easy to find for our trip back to Civitavecchia and the driver was on time and actually parallel parked the bus at our meeting point. Never seen that before!

1 stop shopping

Crown Princess June '18. Ship did not offer On/off tour of Rome. They basically had "transfers" to Rome at a higher rate, then on your own. Took free shuttle from ship to port transfer point. Bus and guide were waiting. Others on the bus had different tours, so each benefited from multiple itineraries. The guide kept us entertained on the long drive to Rome. We arrived at The Vatican and split to our respective tours. From there it was a short walk across the river and we were aboard The Big Bus catching all of Rome's highlights in our limited 5 hour window. A little confusion about the return meeting point caused 2 people to miss the return bus, but the guide said he would wait and assist them, while the rest of us left so as to not jeopardise missing the boat...the only disadvantaged of not taking a Ship's tour. Independent transfer to Rome and separate On/off bus ticket might have been more cost effective, but this was more informative and the 1Stop shopping very convenient.

Lots of places of interest

We were on a cruise so didn’t have much time, however we wanted just to visit a few places, the bus itself was clean and the audio worked well, before getting to our stop which we wanted , it took us to other areas and gave a brief summary of everything we saw. The last stop for us was near the Vatican which was very close to where we were getting picked up by the cruise bus to take us back. Wished we had more time but on the whole it was a good experience
