Best of Mazatlan

This was a great way to see Mazatlan. The guide was informative and the scenery was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this excursion.

Jesus was an excellent guide and driver. He was very attentive to everyone's needs and diligent about not losing anyone. The city tour was well done. The optional lunch at La Costa Marinera was lovely. The coconut shrimp were fantastic and the beach setting was so much fun including the beach musicians. I was disappointed that the horse show was cancelled. In fact it was not mentioned. I learned it was cancelled from a fellow tour companion.

Our biggest concern with an excursion not booked through the cruise ship was coordination. This tour was easy to find - right where the shuttles from the ship drop everyone off. We had a reservation, but they had some seats open in the van & people walked-up and bought tickets & joined us. The tour was just as-advertised - we saw the cliff-divers, went to a beautiful lookout with clean restrooms with a view!! We toured the church - make sure to go across the square to see the city hall that has been transformed to an art museum - very nice! (and more nice restrooms:) We also had time to sit at a beach with chips, salsa & beer - watching the parasailers. Very nice day.

We were worried about stopping at this port because of all the violence we read about several weeks before but that was not the case. The people were the friendliest and most helpful of all the ports on our Panama Canal cruise. Our tour guide was the best. He made sure everyone could hear him and kept track of each one of us. I'm a senior with bad knees so getting in and out of a van is a little difficult for me. He told my husband to take the day off and made sure he helped me each time. The tour itself was delightful. We saw Mazatlan from one end to the other. We even saw some cliff divers whose diving was more dangerous than what we saw in Acapulco. I highly recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed our excursion of Mazatlan. Our driver was very informative and very passionate as he talked about the city. It was interesting to see the difference between “old” and “new” Mazatlan. Our lunch was very nice being located on the beach with live entertainment. I would highly recommend this excursion . Makes us want to come back for a longer stay!
