Outstanding Tour
July 18, 2022
My guide, Ekin, I had a personal tour guide, made sure that I got an appreciation for not only the significance of Ephesus in its time, but the local area of Kusadasi in the present. first of all he was extremely knowledgeable and could connect the relevance of the history with the way of life at the time. He knew Ephesus and its history and its cultural and political significance to the region in that era. He was personable and unassuming. He made the tour exceptional.

A Must See!
July 18, 2022
The ruins at Ephesus are the best ruins / archeology I've seen anywhere, and I'm well-traveled. Our Guide was both knowledgable, affable, and hillarious! Best Guide ever. The Carpet Making and Sales presentation at the end was cool too, and was no the 'hard sell' I was expecting. Great Tour!

Great tour!

Highly recommend this excursion. You get to see the almafi coast and travel in an air conditioned van. Then you go to Pompeii which is a must see. It is a long tour but no worries, they get you back to the ship on time.

Exceptional Guide
July 18, 2022
Our guide was Luca. He was exceptional. He had a depth of knowledge about the local lifestyle, customs and people and he loved to share that knowledge with our small group. He was able to show us aspects of the Amalfi area that a larger group would not have seen and he did it in a very casual, unhurried manner. We never felt rushed or on a deadline. His knowledge and understanding of the Pompeii site was extraordinary. He was very well versed in the culture of the period but also the science and engineering achievements that were evident. He brought some areas of the site to life by relating what we saw to how the residents lived in that time and what shaped their world. I give him 5 stars and recommend him and his group to anyone going to that region.

Amazing tour guide
July 17, 2022
The owner and his daughter were great during the bus ride over to the to the glacier. I learned a lot about Juneau and Alaska history and saw some bears on our way! You get dropped off at the park and you walk around on your own, it was amazing and so beautiful!

Best of Juneau
July 17, 2022
The excursion was worth the cost of admission. We were picked up at the pier for whale watching. The captain and the nature guide were outstanding in their knowledge and appreciation of the whales and the water on which we were traveling. We saw many whales, and at one point in time, the captain needed to move away, as the whales were too close. A little later, he had to completely shut off the engine, as we were surrounded by humpbacks. The next stop was the Mendenhall Glacier. Most of the group went to the Park headquarters, and watched the video and viewed the exhibits. Some of us did the short walk to the waterfall at the base of the glacier. The last stop was the salmon bake, which was awesome. The salmon was cooked over an open fire, and served with a variety of sides. Beer was available for purchase, and there was a woman quietly playing her guitar and singing, adding to the beautiful evening. When we were done, the tour took us back to the ship in plenty of time.

Skagway ride and suspension bridge
July 17, 2022
It was a very relaxing way to spend an afternoon in Skagway. Dale, our guide, was quirky in a good way. He made us feel totally at ease for the drive to the suspension bridge through some drop dead gorgeous scenery. He knew some of the best photo stops, and we saw some wildlife in the form of eagles and a black bear along the way. Clearing customs was a breeze both ways, and the stop at the suspension bridge was different than I expected. It is very stable, and the views were amazing. The walk to the bridge, and the cabin at the other end had a lot of information and exhibits. It was also a very good gift shop. When back in Skagway, Dale made sure that he had time to take us to a beautiful waterfall that flows through the historic cemetery.

Monkeys, Sloths & Iguanas Up Close
July 17, 2022
Five on my family members went on this excursion. There were only two other travelers and the driver/guide, Kislin. We started our excursion at Daniel Johnson’s Monkey & Sloth Hangout, where a cage full of Capuchin Monkeys was large enough for people to enter so the monkeys could climb all over them. My son's girlfriend went into the cage. My daughter held a Roatán Sloth in her arms. The Roatán Sloth must have like being held because she smiled the whole time. When we told Kislin that we all were hungry, he immediately revised the itinerary and drove us a short distance to Christopher Tours Palapa Restaurant & Bar. We enjoyed a traditional Honduran luncheon of cheeseburgers, French fries, and Barena beer. After lunch, we went to Arch’s Iguana Reserve & Marine Park. We walked among hundreds of big and small iguanas. Except for some confusion and delay entering Daniel Johnson’s Monkey & Sloth Hangout, the excursion was well organized and enjoyable.

Belize Jeep Adventures
July 17, 2022
The highlight excursion for me, personally, was this one with just me and the Belize Jeep Adventures driver Roberto, who was well-prepared, friendly, and spoke flawless English. We drove into a rain forest and explored a cave near the village of Gracie Rock, about an hour west of Belize City. The opening to the cave was small, but I did not have to crawl on my stomach to enter. We could stand inside the cave beside spiders and under bats. After the cave exploration, we had a tasty lunch in a palapa in Freetown Sibun. We finished the excursion at Travellers Distillery in Belize City, where Cutter, a grandson of the distillery’s founder (Jaime Omario Perdomo, “Don Omario”) gave me a personal tour of the museum, production area & keg room. As the only guest, for me it was more like a conversation with a friend than a group tour. This excursion was informative, exciting and rewarding.
