If you are only in the port for a day this is the best option.

This tour is very well done. Nice stops along the way and got some great pictures. We really enjoyed the short shopping break with the local vendors. Would definitely recommend this tour to friends in the future.

Beagle Channel by Catamaran

The rain had stopped and the sun made an appearance as we headed out of the harbor. As we approached little islands we were greeted with many sea lions resting on the rocks sharing the landscape with a variety of cormorants. The appearance of 3 whales on the surface of the bay rounded out a great experience on the southern ocean.

Highlights of Montevideo

The bus departed the harbor to head to the main town square where there were statues and memorials of conflicts and heroes of the past history. The guide was knowledgeable and committed to sharing the story of this small nation. There is a mixture of past and present architecture in this lush environment. We drove along the coast line and through the town to view life then on to view the Carro de Caballos bronze wagon train sculpture that is a must to see.

Pengquins
February 15, 2023
The bus was waiting for us as advertised and comfortable for the 2-1/2 hr ride to the rookery. The guide was well informed on the area and spoke clear English . The rookery was well worth the length of time it took to get there and we had a great time wandering amongst the penguins - keeping our 2 meter distance .

Worth the long ride to see the Magellanic penguins
February 15, 2023
I was hesitant about this tour. I had just seen a penguin cover in the Falkland Islands, and although they were different types of penguins, I sttill was worried it would be repetitive, particularly wtih the long ride from our ship to the tour destination. However, the tour guide provided a great deal of interesting information about the history of that region and about the penguins. Once we arrived, the locale was awesome and the number of penguins was incredible. I was glad to have made the visit.
