Tram & Cruise Sightseeing
Leaving from Fremantle Town Hall, your tram loops a scenic circuit before connecting you with your boat at Victoria Quay. As the boat navigates to Perth and back, you'll be served a delicious buffet lunch.
Renowned for its preservation of 19th century buildings, beautiful Fremantle sits at the mouth of the Swan River, serving as Perth's main port. Your tram departs from Town Hall, passing Cappuccino Strip and a bevy of scenic art galleries.
Relax as the narrated tram shows you various sights, including Victoria Quay, Rail Station, Fremantle Prison, Esplanade Hotel, and Fishing Boat Harbor.
Victoria Quay features the Maritime Museum and bountiful E Shed Markets. Thereafter is the central Rail Station, followed by Fremantle Prison - one of eleven World Heritage labeled convict sites in Australia. Much of the building was built by the inhabitant prisoners. Next is Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle's finest hotel.
After reaching the Fishing Boat Harbor, you'll board Captain Cook Cruises for a return trip on the lovely Swan River to Perth. The buffet lunch, offering three fine courses, also includes a complimentary glass of house wine, draft beer, or soft drink. The option to purchase a premium wine as you cruise is available.
This picturesque land and sea adventure is a fun and convenient way to see both Fremantle and Perth. Book this Perth tour today for your next great Australia shore excursion.

We left the ship a little early because we had to take the free Fremantle shuttle to downtown. While waiting for the Tram we used the free wi-fi. The Tram driver/guide was funny and informative and covered all the major sights in Fremantle before dropping us at the embarkation point for the river cruise. The river cruise had a reserved window table for us on the lower level close to the buffet. There was a nice selection of salads and typical lunch items and all were tasty. The commentary about the sights as we traveled up the river to Perth was a little hard to hear because of the engine noise. In Perth we had a few minutes while some non-cruise passengers disembarked and others arrived and then we were underway back to Fremantle. When we arrived in Fremantle the Tram was waiting for us and the driver kindly dropped us at the ship. I would definitely recommend this excursion...and it was a much better value than the shore excursion offered by the cruise line.
