Alaskan Tails and Legs
Alaskan Tails and Legs
Calling all nature lovers! When you visit Juneau you first think of the wildlife, Mother Nature has supplied this area in abundance both on land and in the sea.
Your journey will start with a scenic ride out to the harbor where you will board a boat and make your way to a prime whale watching area. This 40-passenger boat is mammal friendly thanks to water jet drives that are quiet and free of dangerous propellers that can frighten and hurt the animals. Relax in the enclosed, heated cabin with a warm cup of coffee or go up on desk and inhale the crisp, salty air as you draw near to the whales. Be sure to bring your camera to capture spectacular shots of these impressive mammals in their natural surroundings. Throughout the tour your captain and local naturalist will share fascinating facts and stories about the whales, marine life and the city of Juneau.
Once back on land you travel to Tracy's King Crab Shack, Juneau's most famous restaurant where the locals go. Tracy, a local, began her idea of crab legs in 2006 and has never looked back as she is passionate about her love for what she does. Feast like a king with warm, buttery rolls, crispy crab cakes, piping-hot crab bisque and the mouthwatering King crab legs adored by visitors and locals alike. While here, grab a signature souvenir or two in the gift shop before heading back to port.
Book this half-day tour now for a day in Juneau with whales and a tasty feast you will fondly remember for years to come.

Enjoyed every minute of our whale watch. Even saw a cow and her calf. What a thrill! Our crab legs were the absolute best we've EVER had. Just wish we go get them more often.

Everyone was professional but friendly. The two don't always go together but they do in this instance. We did see whales, and some bald eagles. It was a great day with experts who know where to go to find whales and also know all about them. The information given was interesting without being boring or preachy.Would recommend this excursion to anyone interested.
This was a great whale excursion. It was a small boat, maybe 35 people. Staff were great. We saw three bumped back whales up close. On the way back to the harbor, it got very foggy but the captain said there was supposed to be a whale right here, but he couldn’t find it. So, he shut off the engine so we could listen. Within minutes a whale surfaced, and it was right by the boat! We got great video. Food tickets were given for Tracy’s; there was no special pricing or reserved seating but crab legs were great. You could take this tour without the crab legs and would be great too. We thoroughly enjoyed

The whale watching was on a nice boat with a great captain and tour guide. Eating at Traceys crab shack was awesome and a great way to end the day.
