Arctic Circle Adventure by Land

After checking in at the tour office, you will board your tour vehicle and travel north, crossing the Arctic Circle on your way to the mighty Yukon River.

As you travel down the rugged Dalton Highway, made famous by the construction of the Trans Alaska Pipeline, you will see parts of the pipeline stretching across this unforgiving land.

You will also make a stop at the Arctic Circle Trading Post, located in the rural community of Joy, Alaska.

Free time will be taken for you to purchase a meal at the Yukon River. Marvel at the majestic beauty of the northland's most famous waterway and learn of the river's storied past.

Continue north, where you will cross over the Arctic Circle in ceremonious fashion and receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate. Take the opportunity to explore the amazing arctic tundra, and feel the veins of ice just beneath the surface. You will then drive back to Fairbanks along the same route.

Please Note: Guest safety always takes precedence over convenience. On rare occasions, weather or other uncontrollable circumstances may require alterations or cancellations that may affect a portion or all of the scheduled tour itinerary. Guest seating is rotated throughout the day. Thus, each guest is provided with a variety of different viewing perspectives and the opportunity to interact with others on the tour.
