Spend part of your day in port exploring Argostoli, the capital city of the island of Kephalonia with one of the busiest ports in Greece. Your journey starts as you leave the port and follow along the scenic coastal road of Fanari with photo stops at the lighthouse and Katavothres water wheels.
Residents in Katavothres take advantage of the area’s special water flow by using the sea water to generate their mills. From there continue to the scenic resort area of Lassi and the beautiful Livathos villages to the Monastery of Agios Andreas. This main part of this 13th century monastery has been preserved in its original form with iconic 17th century artwork. In the traditional village of Kastro lies St. George’s Castle, a Venetian fortress dating back to the 16th century. The caste’s strategic location will gift you with gorgeous panoramic photos of some of the best views of the island as well as the neighboring island of Zante.
Make your way next to “En Kefallinia"", an organic farm filled with sweet-smelling citrus trees and gardens. While here, walk among lavender paths and feel the forgotten pleasures of the countryside while you enjoy your coffee, tea and homemade sweets (included). Pick up a bio-friendly souvenir or two, then make your way back to Argostoli with a stop at Koutavos Lagoon.
This famous lagoon is a nature reserve for wildlife, including the Caretta Turtle and various waterfowl. Pass in front of De Bosset Bridge, the longest stone bridge in the world, on your way back to port.
This 3.5-hour tour will not take up your entire day but gives you a well-rounded and comprehensive look at this picturesque part of Greece, book now as the tours sells out fast.

This was a delightful excursion. Small group as promised and a great guide. The fort was worth the climb and views were spectacular. The farm was a highlight with a fun visit and nice refreshments. The lighthouse was very picturesque and we got some great photos. A nice relaxing day.

Our tour date: June 27, 2019. It was a hot day in Greece. We were in a small 15 seater van, cool inside the van. The places are nice, we just feel kind of rushed during our first stop. Probably because our ride was late. According to the agency, their other transport broke down so we got a replacement van. Our tour guide is kind of new also, she reads her notes but it doesn't affect the ambiance of the tour. She's friendly & doesn't hesitate to offer information even if she's just reading it. The private farm we visited was nice. The family was very hospitable. Will definitely recommend this tour.
was a good tour, the farm was lovely, a good experience, also the owners were friendly and served refreshments which was greatly appreciated on such a hot day, and again the tour guide was excellent
Hello, Our guide was professional and friendly answering all questions. Loved visit to organic farm and learning about its history. Great excursion, recommend it.
