Your active day begins with an ATV ride to the spectacular and secluded El Valle beach area. After filling out your waivers and instruction on riding your ATV, you will drive through part of the town before reaching the countryside. Here you will continue along predominantly paved roads. To reach the zip line, the last approximately 20 minutes of driving is over a dirt road (which may get paved someday) Total time to reach the zip is approximately 45 minutes and depending on the rivers depth, may include a river crossing.
Your first stop is at the highly acclaimed Walk the Plank Zip Line, the best Zip Line in Samana. The first run of 12 total lines is over 1000 feet long and takes off from a pirate ship more than 350 feet up a hillside. You will fly above the Lulu Waterfall as you cover 7000 feet of line. The zip is made up of the highest-quality equipment on a three-cable Zip Line system. You are fastened in with a double harness that has two cams that run along two of the cables overhead. The integrated braking system allows you to concentrate on having fun. You don't have to reach up with your hand and grab the cable to slow yourself down like you do on some Zip Lines. There are staff members on hand to do tandem rides if you are nervous.
After your high flying Zip, you will visit the Lulu Waterfall to take a refreshing swim in the pool it forms. An approximate 10 minute walk through the jungle brings us back to the ATVs and we are off.
We then head down an unpaved road (bumpy) to reach a semi-secluded natural beach, where the view of the mountains diving into the ocean is just awesome. Although the beach is not safe for swimming, it more than makes up for that with its natural beauty. In this setting you will enjoy a typical Dominican buffet (fresh fish and chicken) with as much soda, water, Hot Chocolate, or Coffee that you can drink.
After lunch, you will have a chance for one last ATV ride around part of the beach before heading back to the pier.
Please be aware that most of the roads traveled during the tour are paved but bumps are to be expected.
