There's scuba diving, and then there's the scuba diving you'll find ONLY on this Dominica Champagne Reef Scuba Diving Tour for beginning divers!
This exciting introduction scuba tour takes you from your ship on a short, 15-minute drive south of Roseau, through the picturesque village of Pointe Michel, to the diving facility at Champagne Reef.
Underwater geothermal springs vent gasses in the form of thousands of warm bubbles, giving the visitor a feeling of swimming through a giant glass of champagne. And that's not all - the reef here is quite spectacular! You can expect to see a myriad of sea life including sponges, lobster, parrot fish and a resident population of hawksbill sea turtles.
Upon arrival at the water sports center, you will be outfitted with high-quality dive gear and given an orientation of the facility and the adventure that awaits you on the reef. You will meet with your professional PADI-certified instructor who will brief you on basic scuba, train you on the correct use of your gear, and brief you on what you are likely to see and experience once in the water.
Once instructor and student feel secure with your new skills, you will begin a supervised one-tank dive from the beach, going no further down than 40 feet on the reef.
After your tour you can enjoy the comfort and convenience of the dive center with showers, changing rooms, refreshments, a gift shop and a sundeck overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea. You will then return to the cruise pier.
Price includes all equipment and wetsuits, instructor, Marine Reserve site pass and transportation to and from the cruise dock.
Guests must be able to walk down an incline and over a rocky shore to access the water.

We had a great time on Dominica doing the scuba trip. Their location was awesome, with the champagne ocean floor from gas emissions. We went to crater lake and my boys 14 and 13 did their first dive, it was a blast. The staff was very friendly, the scenery was awesome and everything was well priced. We will definitely do this again as our Dominica was our favorite island stop on our cruise.
Excellent first time expierence diving. Getting closer to fish is what it was all about for me. Read all disclaimers and be ready to meet all expectations before going and perhaps before signing up for this excursion. Diving is vastly superior to snorkeling but requirements to participate are considerable.
