Experience the culinary treasures of Estonia. Stroll along the old cobblestone streets as you experience for yourself the vivid culinary cuisine of this historic city. Stop for food and wine tastings at 7 different local eateries.

A professional tour guide on this three hour tour of Tallinn will share stories and legends of the city and its culinary surprises. Make stops along the way at a medieval tavern, street market, eco-food-store, deli-shop, typical Estonian restaurant, and a secret wine terrace and cellar in the Old Town.

At the first venue, enjoy pumpkin and parsnip soup along with pepper and honey schnapps. At the local eco-food store, there are several tasting stations with local smoked elk and wild boar meat, local jams, mustard, cheese, bread, and liqueur. Additional food stops include tastings of Estonian black bread, local pesto sauces, spiced sprats sandwiches, local home-made beer and wine, the national drink known as Kama, dried berries, and some sweets.

This is the tour to book if you are interested in discovering the history and the future of the culinary arts in Estonia. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and to bring your appetite on this culinary tour of Tallinn.

This tour was the most enjoyable of our trip! We were a small group of 6. Walking to each culinary spot our guide shared the history of the buildings we passed. During the culinary stops he shared customs and traditions of Estonia. Our stops included pasta, coffee, ice cream, traditional fish sandwich and beverage, & a chocolate making shop complete with samples & a chance to buy some to take home. We also visited a huge flower & vegetable market with lots of little shops. Our one concern had been how we would get picked up after leaving the cruise ship area, but our driver was right there waiting for us & drove us to downtown Tallin keeping us company sharing stories of Estonia’s history as we waited for our tour guide. This is the first time we have ever booked a tour that was not sponsored by the cruise line and we were very happy we did. None of the tours of Tallin offered by the cruise line were as interesting (or delicious!) as this one. I would highly recommend this tour!

Wondered about booking this tour but it turned out to be an informative and delightful day. We got to see a lovely city, sample some great local food and our knowledgeable friendly tour guide (an anthropologist) told us all about the history and customs of the locals. The types of food ranged from pumpkin-parsnip soup to handmade chocolate truffles. Would highly recommend this tour!

This tour was so much more than my daughter and I expected! Rasmus, our personal guide, not only carefully arranged an interesting food and drink experience, but also was an excellent historical information source. He adapted his timing to our interests depending on where we were, and he actually spent more time than the itinerary allowed because we were having such a good time together. I must say that this tour was one of the highlights of our cruise and was better than any of the shore excursions the cruise line offered!
