Best of Tallinn Bicycle Tour

Discover the beauty of Tallinn, Estonia in a truly unique way with a guided bicycle tour. A bicycle tour allows you to see the city's many highlights while enjoying fresh air and getting some exercise.

Your bike tour begins at the ship pier, where you will join your professional guide and choose between a classical low frame bicycle or a trekking bicycle and then continue to set out on your excursion. Your first stop is the magnificent summer residence of Peter the Great - Kadriorg Palace. Kadriog Palace was built in 1718 by Tsar Peter I and named for his beloved wife Catherine. Today the beautifully red and white adorned palace is home to Estonia's President as well as the foreign art collection of the Estonian Art Museum.

Adjacent to the palace you will ride through the palace's splendid park and gardens. This is one of many excellent photo opportunities during your tour. Departing the gardens, you will pedal to the Song Ground Festival, where Estonians sang themselves to independence under a huge song arch. You will also see the nearby Maarjamae World War II memorial.

Departing Song Festivals Grounds, you will cycle along the scenic seaside towards Old Town. Upon reaching Old Town you will pedal along its ancient walls as you head to the town hall square. During your journey you will get a view of the charming streets of this very unique district. Cobblestones, courtyards, shops and markets make up this beautiful Medieval area, where you will experience an atmosphere dating back to the 12th century. Once you reach the center of the Old Town, also known as the old marketplace, Town Hall Square, and the Town Hall itself, which is the best-preserved Medieval town hall in Northern Europe, you will have free time for shopping, exploring and having a snack. Departing Old Town, you will return to the ship pier.

Ride along guests (weighing no more than 70 pounds) will be accommodated in a trailer attached behind the bike.

It was easy to locate the excursion meeting place. Our tour guide took us around Tallinn with stops at many sights. He was knowledgable about Tallinn and gave us time to look around when we got to the sites. It was a great way to see the town, learn about its history and have a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended excursion!

As an active person, I love taking bike tours when traveling. You literally walk off the ship towards town to find your bike. We had a wonderful time, and loved seeing some parts of Tallin that you wouldn't see on a bus tour. It was a relatively flat ride, so it wasn't challenging for those who don't ride regularly. Our guide not only showed us the town, but gave us a glimpse of what it was like living in Estonia. We ended the tour with a chocolate coin made in Tallin!

My wife and 10 year old son and I took this tour, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide was very knowledgeable and interesting, and fun as well. The ride was very easy and we made several stops along the way, so it never was taxing at all. Would highly recommend this as a way to see Tallinn while stopping there on a cruise.

Tour office/bikes perfectly situated right by cruise ship docking point. Staff helpful and good selection of bicycles which although not new were in good serviceable condition. Guide ‘Maria’ was very pleasant and patient with the varied experience levels of those in our group. Ride involved cycling on shared footpath/cycle lanes, on road and designated cycle lanes. In the time (3/4 hours) we were able to get a flavour of Tallin and some free time. Overall a very good experience personally. Recommended.
