Blue Lagoon Dolphin Swim
In the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Swim Program, you and your family will have the unique opportunity for playful, educational interaction with these wonderful animals in the beautiful turquoise waters of a natural ocean lagoon. Your program to swim with dolphins begins with a fun orientation, briefly covering the natural history of dolphins, animal training techniques, ocean conservation and Watchable Wildlife Guidelines.
Upon arrival on the island, you will begin your dolphin program. The program portion is one hour, including the orientation. Once in your life jacket, experience the joy of a dolphin kiss as you hug a dolphin in your arms. Dance and sing with the stars, then marvel at the dolphin's strength as you are propelled across the lagoon in the big finale - the foot push! In this program, trainers focus on allowing everyone to enjoy a high degree of interaction with the dolphins, and at the same time, teach you about these amazing animals in their natural habitat.
The professional photo and video staff will be capturing your encounter, so you will have a chance to purchase and take home incredible souvenirs of your once-in-a-lifetime experience.
After your unforgetable dolphin swim, enjoy a day in the sun. You also have use of the breathtaking lagoon beach area including unlimited use of water toys (unsinkable float mats, inner tubes and big boss noodles), hammocks, picnic tables, beach umbrellas, beach chairs and games. There are lockers on the beach side for an additional $5 US all day, changing areas and showers for use. Bring your cameras to capture amazing views from the observation areas of the Dolphin Encounters' amazing all-natural habitat, where you can see friendly dolphins and amazing sea lions.
Other water sports (paddle boats, aquabikes, kayaks, snorkeling gear, inflatable parks, and others) are available at an additional cost. Refreshing soft drinks, daiquiris, pina coladas, beer, wine, tropical drinks, mixed drinks, and a grilled lunch are also available for purchase at the Tropical Beach Bar.
The transfer to and from the island is included from the ferry terminal on Paradise Island. Guests participating in an animal encounter before 2:00 PM can return to the mainland on ferries departing the island at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and the last ferry at 4:00. Guests on the 3:30 PM encounter only will have a special ferry that departs the island at 6:00 PM, and will not have beach time after the encounter, as the beach closes at 4:00 PM.
Please Note: Personal cameras, including cell phones or other electronic devices, are not permitted on the animal program platforms. Non-participants may observe those in their party who are taking part in a dolphin program. If you wish to stay and enjoy the island facilities, the observer should purchase a ticket for the Blue Lagoon Island Beach Day. If you wish to only visit the island to observe the Dolphin Encounter, there is a $25 US fee per observer for the ferry ride from Paradise Island to Blue Lagoon (if there is space available), and a $5 US fee per observer for the bus to the ferry (if there is space available). These observer fees are payable directly to the ferry and the bus, and no reservations are necessary.
At the program areas, you can take your own photos or videos from the public dock areas. Please be advised that an unobstructed view of all dolphin interactions is not guaranteed, and observers are not allowed on the platforms at any time. No exceptions will be made.
All participants must have the ability to go up and down ladders to access the platform. No refunds will be issued for guests that do not meet the program requirements for age or who violate company policies. The tour operates rain or shine! No refunds will be given for bad weather unless the excursion is cancelled. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed to be brought on the property, and the facility has the right to refuse service to any guest under the influence of alcohol, or any illegal drugs.
Personal cameras, including cell phones or other electronic devices, are not permitted on the animal program platforms.
I was hesitant to spend the money for this experience but it was well worth it. the deep water interaction with the dolphins was amazing. We spent more time in the water with them than I expected and it was very interactive.
This was an amazing excursion. We were picked up promptly at a location right off the boat driven to the ferry and took a ferry to the Blue Lagoon. It was a beautiful ride over and once we got to the Lagoon the excitement really started! We watched a short educational presentation about Dolphins and then were split up into small groups of 7-8 people. We all had personal experiences, kissing, getting hugs, petting and dancing with the dolphins. We then all tried the foot push and it was all so amazing, the trainers were great and the photographers did well capturing our amazing experience. It took a while waiting around for the pictures and video, but I was not leaving without documentation of my experience!! I then had lunch and drinks, and went to the back side of the island where I snorkled for a few hours on a quiet beach !! What a day!! I took the four o clock ferry back... And we had music and a dance chain going to ""happy"" which was very appropriate!!!

It was a great experience, The whole family is still raving about it.
My husband and I went on our first cruise and heard this was one of the best things to do in Nassau and I have to admit it was so much fun that I just had to buy the pictures afterwards. You won't regret this chance of a lifetime with these beautiful creatures!
