Caravel on Wheels
Make the most of your time in port by skipping the crowded docks for a chance to see the wonderful city of Lisbon in a unique and comfortable way onboard your Caravel.
You will board your transportation directly from a stop in front of the cruise ship terminal. This tour will take you on an adventure in to two areas restricted to buses that cover the aspects of old neighborhoods such as Mouraria, Alfama, Chiado, Principe Real and Rato.
While underway you can explore an interactive map and watch videos through an individual tablet on your seat to learn about the city's colorful history. This video-guided tour is one of the few tours that will take you through the old neighborhoods of Lisbon. The tour is fully guided and offered in six languages: Portuguese, English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
Ride through a maze of narrow, cobbled streets in Alfama, the oldest district in the city. In Mouraria you will be in Lisbon's most culturally diverse neighborhood, while Chiado will greet you with its fashionable shops and cultural haunts.
Make your way through the charming area of Principe Real and visit the district of Belem. Belem is famous for the Tower of Belem and the Monastery of Jeronimos. Belem, the center of the Age of Discoveries contains monuments with over 500 years of history and is part of the Unesco World Heritage Sites. This is also where the Portuguese brave sailors departed to discover the word in the 15th century.
This tour is a perfect introduction for those who are short on time or just want to get a quick overview of Lisbon. You will make your fellow cruise passengers jealous when you show them the pictures of how you discovered Lisbon aboard your very own replica on wheels of the merchant sailing ships from the time of the discovery of the new world!

A pleasant introduction to Lisbon. They arrived at the pickup point, across from the cruise terminal, early. We happened to be the only couple booked that morning so it was more of a personal tour than a group tour. The guide and driver were courteous, professional and personable.
