Private Chianti Wine District & San Gimignano Highlights Tour
Tucked into the most central part of Tuscany, Chianti is one of the world's most exquisite wine regions. Anybody who loves a very dry red wine will want to join this exclusive Chianti tour. With a private guide, tour this remarkable region for memories that will last a lifetime.
Rolling hills zig-zagged with vineyards, olive groves, and columns of Italian cypress trees create a uniquely beautiful landscape. One that you'll enjoy on the 45 minute drive through the wine district to the village of Greve. This small Tuscan town is full of medieval charm, built around a Franciscan monastery. You can shop in quaint stores, try some of the local wines, or try some local delicacies like ham, salami, cheese, and olive oil.
Your private driver-guide will then bring you to an old castle, now a farm, where you'll be given a tour of the vineyard and cellars and a light education on the wine-making process. After that, you'll get to take part in a wine tasting or a lunch---several options will be available for you to choose from, should you be interested.
Depending on how you've opted to spend your time at the farm, you can use whatever time you have left to visit Siena and San Gimignano, Volterra, or Pisa.
The return trip will bring you briefly to Pisa, where you'll have time to visit the iconic Leaning Tower and the Square of Miracles where the Cathedral and Baptistery welcome thousands of visitors each year.

We were a group of 8 and had a wonderful day on this tour. We would highly recommend this tour. The winery tour was superb and the lunch was something to experience. We then toured San Gimignano and what a wonderful experience. Our tour guide was very good and we had a very enjoyable day.
