Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, glass bottom boat to land
January 05, 2020
I can highly recommend this tour, we were only 7 passengers on a smaller boat to the “el Arco”, no hassle getting on or off, while all the HAL passengers were floating by on a much larger ship, accommodating 100 or 200 passengers. It was all very authentic, no shopping stops. Photos available

Huatulco’s customs and traditions
January 05, 2020
On Huatulco, on Christmas Day, we had to ask a few people where the representative from Xpert Travel was, after we found Emanuel we had ten other travel companions and visited a family operation, who had made Mescal from blue agave for 70 years. We saw the progress, tasted the product and had fun with the dried grasshoppers. Also went to family operation where they taught us how to make tortillas over an open fire. We also saw the church in town. Emanuel was very knowledgeable and easy to understand.. However, it seemed that HAL had a problem with our arrangements, they treated us like 2nd class citizens. I had also noticed that on CARNIVAL in November. Passengers who had purchased excursions elsewhere, where not considered in tender operations. I had engaged and tipped an excursion employee, who helped me to get on the first tender.

Panoramic Cartagena and shopping
January 05, 2020
Our ship arrived one hour early and therefore we had to wait, what seemed forever, for our tour. We finally traveled in an almost new Mercedes and were only three passengers. Xavier Llamas was our tour guide, spoke good English and was very knowledgeable and walked with us through the Old Town of Cartagena. I had been there three times before and saw now new things that I did not know existed. Our first stop was Castillo San Felipe. Photos available if necessary
