Cozumel Jeep and Beach Adventure
Cozumel Jeep & Beach Adventure Excursion
Here's a Cozumel excursion with EVERYTHING: sightseeing, swimming, snorkeling and sampling local Mexican cuisine.
After meeting your tour guide, you will be matched up in groups of four and assigned a manual drive vehicle (Jeep Wrangler or Jeep Patriot - four guests per Jeep) and set out following the lead vehicle. As you drive by Cozumel Town, you will get an insight into the local life.
Your Cozumel tour will continue with a drive around the island on a scenic, paved road full of breathtaking views. Your professional guide will give you interesting information during the different stops, when guests can trade off driving if they choose.
You will access the Punta Sur State Refuge via a long, sandy road, which welcomes you to this unique ecological reserve. You will visit El Caracol, a small ancient Mayan ruin, once used as a weather alarm. You will also see the Columbia Lagoon, a magnificent and incredible ecosystem that feeds and provides balance to the reef formations. Watch for saltwater crocodiles in their natural environment, and visit an observation tower that overlooks the lagoon.
You will then head to the beach to enjoy the year-round crystal-clear waters. Follow the lead vehicle along sand paths to reach Punta Sur Bay, where you will have the option to swim or snorkel. The snorkeling is along the protected and shallow reef, 100 yards off the beach. It is full of colorful tropical fish and incredible sea life. Guests not up to the swim to the reef can walk, swim or just relax on the beach. Don't worry about your belongings, beach lockers are available for $5 US.
After your beach stop, it's back to the Jeeps and a 10-minute drive to visit the Navigation Museum inside the Punta Celarain lighthouse.
You will start the drive back towards town, but your Cozumel Jeep and Beach tour is NOT OVER. You will make a quick stop at an exclusive beach resort to enjoy a delicious late-afternoon Mexican lunch of chicken, beef or fish fajitas! Sodas, beer and mixed drinks are available for purchase. Guests wishing to remain longer may do so and will be responsible for their own transportation back to the pier. Taxi from downtown to the meeting point is approximately $3 US per person.

What a blast..... the jeep was a little ragged but we made our way entirely around the expedition. We buddied up with two lovely German ladies and set out on the adventure. The sites were great, enough time spent and history pointed out. The Tequila shop was very interesting and very tasty with the free samples. Highly recommend this.

We had a hot humid rainy day and still feel like it was fun adventure! Carlos and Fellpe were pleasant and did their best to get us laughing and kept "on track" We had a good lunch and snorkeled in the rain.Had the best margerita ever!! We toured a tequilla factory. And saw crocodiles. Our party of 7 really enjoyed our time in Cozumel.

The jeep excursion we went on was probably the best part of our cruise. Although it rained, the tour guide was upbeat and made it fun for everyone. The tequila tasting when we stopped at the light house was fun also. I would definately go on that excursion again
Fantastic day. However the directions to get to the first meeting point of the day sucked and we had to ask several locals how to get there . Once we got to the meeting spot and got with the tour guide s the day went swimmingly. We went drove to punta sur ntl. Park Got to see some mayan ruins, salt water crocodiles, and a badass lighthouse . . . I highly reccomend this excusrion to anyone. But when the directions to meet the tour guide say walk 100' yards it really means about a mile
