Cuba's Classic Cars
Experience Havana, an old city that time seems to have forgotten, where almost 80 percent of the city remains original from the Colonial period until the Communist Revolution in 1959. Every detail seems to be surrealist for people who visit for the first time and there is no better way to discover her secrets than from a ride in an old American Classic car.
Your panoramic tour begins when you jump into your car with your driver and cruise through the streets of Havana, making your way through the suburbs of Centro Habana and Miramar. Ride down Paseo del Prado, the dividing line between Centro Habana and Old Havana. View the Malecon, a broad esplanade that is the road along the seawall which stretches for 5 miles along the coast in Havana from the mouth of the harbor to the north side of Centro Habana, ending in the Vedado neighborhood.
New businesses are appearing on the esplanade due to economic reforms in Cuba that now allow Cubans to own private businesses. View the La Chorrera Fort, Fifth Avenue Tunnel and the Green House as well as the American "Special Interests" building, the Anti-Imperialist Square, and Colon Cemetery. Stop at Revolution Square, where you will be met by your English-speaking guide, who will tell you about Cuba's history as you take in the sights.
And there is no better way to end this tour except on a high note when you make a stop at the Hotel Nacional, where your guide will join you again for an authentic cocktail. Walk through the beautiful garden terrace of the hotel and enjoy your drink overlooking the Malecon at sunset.
Please Note: Each car will hold up to 4 guests in total along with a driver and separate English-speaking guide. Guests booking as a single or couples may be combined with other guests in each car. Cars may be hard top or convertible.
All guests must complete a mandatory form for the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury (OFAC). A valid passport is required for all guests to travel to Cuba. We recommend guests review the passport requirements of travel to Cuba from their home country and that the expiration of your passport be greater than six months from the date of your voyage. A link will be provided to you with the form upon booking your excursion, and full details will be provided with your electronic ticket.

Travel back in time has you travel around Havana! Riding in these classic old convertible cars brings back a lot of memories. You remember these cars. They are from an era when all cars did not look alike, but rather were distinctive with grills, fins and REAL bumpers. Add to this trip down memory lane, a guided tour, where the sites are explained and your questions are answered. It is the only way to see and experience Havana.

The cars were good, hot seats tho. It would have been nice if our driver spoke English so we would have known what we saw as we went by.

Arrived in Havana via the Norwegian Sky and we booked this tour independently of the cruise-line given the significant price difference for a similar product. Meeting point and time was easy. The guides are experienced, friendly, and passionate in their talks about Cuban culture and history (in case you're wondering, on this tour, they work for Intrepid Travel). Despite his limited English, our particular "cab" driver was funny and great too, pointing out features all along the way. When/where would you have the chance to travel in a 1948 Mercury in pristine condition (4th generation owned by the same family) with the top down throughout Havana?! Way better than any big bus air conditioning. Honestly, what a great experience - and the mojito at the end is not to miss!

We had an absolutely wonderful tour with Juan Baez. He was informative, courteous, and eager to answer any questions during the tour and deserves a well-earned raise. He drove safely and professionally, and we really enjoyed our time with him and in Havana.
