Deluxe Yukon Sightseeing Tour

Departing from Skagway's glacially-carved coastline by van, you will ride over the coastal mountain range through the White Pass Summit Area known as the Tormented Valley. And that's just the beginning of your memorable Yukon Sightseeing Tour.

Making your way across the northwest corner of British Columbia and into the southwest corner of the Yukon, you will savor majestic mountain vistas, pristine lakes, and crisp, clean air. A photo stop will be made at Emerald Lake before traveling on to Caribou Crossing Trading Post and Museum.

During your time at the Trading Post, you can relax and enjoy a tasty Yukon-style lunch and visit one of the most spectacular wildlife museums in North America. The museum's exhibits range from Ice Age specimens to animals more recently introduced into the Yukon. There are exotic animals from both the arctic and sub-arctic regions of Alaska and the Yukon, as well as from around the world.

If time permits, your next excursion stop will be the Carcross Desert, which is the world's smallest desert. Here, you will be able to get some sand in your shoes and take pictures that will be treasured for a lifetime.

Photo stops and possible wildlife sightings await as you journey back to Skagway. Once there, your tour guide will drop you off in the center of the Skagway shopping district or return you to your cruise ship.

For those in your party who would like to learn more about sled dogs and the art of mushing, they can opt for the Yukon Dog Musher Adventure Tour at the same time. Both tours travel on the same van to and from Caribou Crossing Trading Post and Museum.

Please Note: All tour stops are subject to change based on weather and road conditions. The tour will be crossing the Canadian border and then back across the U.S. border. All U.S. and Canadian citizens who are 16 and older traveling between the U.S. and Canada are required to present a valid passport. It is suggested to bring a photo I.D. as well. U.S. and Canadian citizens who are 15 years old or younger may travel with a certified birth certificate. People of all other citizenships are required to have a photo I.D., a passport, and visa (if required).

All minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Children that are 2 years old or younger are free when occupying an adult's lap (this does not include lunch). If you would like your child to have his/her own seat or meal, you are required to count them as an adult while booking.

One of the Best

The Yukon Excursion is definitely one of the best excursions we have been on. My wife and I have been on many trips and this is the best. Great guide, very knowledgeable. Easy crossing the border both ways. I would recommend to anyone going to Alaska.

This excursion was great. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though we didn’t get to see the Husky Puppies. The scenery was jaw dropping. We had several photo stops/photo ops. Our driver was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable, and the size was perfect. It was a small group in a small van. I would highly recommend this tour. You get to actually sightsee because you’re not on the train, and the excursion travels along the same route as the train and goes further.

The best guide ever! So knowledgeable and friendly. The sites were outstanding. We even saw a bear up close and personal munching on some greenery by the roadside. What a fabulous way to spend the day. We highly recommend this tour!!
