Escape the crowded cruise line tours and explore Catalina's wild lands on this exclusive and unique Jeep Eco-Tour. Whether you're seeking a unique educational experience in the great outdoors or simply a relaxing eco-tour, you'll go away with an unforgettable experience and maybe a new appreciation of Santa Catalina Island.
Your guide will drive you in an open-air, customized eco-tour four-wheel drive jeep vehicle. This personally guided tour was uniquely and exclusively designed with you in mind.
Your guide will take you into the island's spectacular interior with views of its rugged coastline, where (depending on the route) you may see wildlife such as bald eagles soaring high above Santa Catalina Island, the shy Santa Catalina Island Fox, and the American Bison. You will also see rare plants and plant communities native to Catalina Island. In addition, see historical and archaeological sites spanning 6,800 years.
Our guide,Joy, was extremely knowledgeable about the island and its history. She was pleasant and showed concern for our comfort.

Very informative/interesting; better than anticipated. Didn't realize there was so much history about the island & that it has some unique wildlife.

We have been to Catalina Island about 10 times on cruises. We've done several excursions, and also just ridden golf carts and shopped. This time we decided to try this Eco-Jeep Adventure. We all agreed that it was the best excursion we have ever done in Catalina, and we are so glad we chose it. Our excellent guide was Maria, and she gave us several choices of which areas we'd like to see. We ended up choosing her favorite route, and it was well worth it. We saw Bison, foxes, eagles (both in the wild and two that are being rehabilitated) as well as other little island creatures. The ride back into the untraveled parts of the island was super fun. Maria's knowledge of the area, and her enthusiasm for all aspects of her job are contagious. I would definitely book this tour again on our next trip.

It was my first visit to the island. Without this excursion (Eco-Jeep Adventure) I probably would have stayed in Avalon only and would not have experienced other parts of the island. In two hours, I learned so much about the island. The tour guide has impressed me with his knowledge of the nature and history of the island.

This was worth it! What we didn't know is this tour offers special insights as the driver is part of the island conservatory group. He had keys to back gates that took us on their trails, plus so much history and culture of the island. We saw animals up close and the guide was super friendly. We talked to other people that took other tours and didn't get what we got which made us feel special. We highly recommend this tour over other Jeep/bus tours. Less crowed, more answers, and access to locked gates for an adventurous ride.
