Esquina Carlos Gardel Dinner & Tango Show
Cosmopolitan Buenos Aires, the 'Paris of the Americas,' is the setting for a night to remember. On this delicious tour in Buenos Aires, experience the luxury of the popular restaurant known as Esquina Carlos Gardel. Semi-formal attire is suggested as you dine on a traditional three-course Argentinian meal and watch an entertaining live performance.
Argentina is famed for its steak. Naturally, the Esquina Carlos Gardel has prime cuts of beef and so much more. For beverages, you will be served three drinks, choosing among one half bottle of wine, a bottle of mineral water (or soft drink), and coffee or tea. You're sure to enjoy this lavish meal, but the real excitement begins when the dancers take the floor.
Sit back and enjoy an exciting and authentic Tango performance with a live orchestra. Interestingly, Brazil's Next Top Model TV show held a tango challenge for its contestants at Esquina Carlos Gardel during its second season.
"Tango" is an African word, meaning drum, or dancing place. With European and African cultural influences, the Tango dance originated during the late 19th century in Argentina's lower-class districts of Buenos Aires.
Beautifully choreographed and costumed, this show is a delight for audiences of all ages. When coupled with a three course meal, this Buenos Aires evening tour is sure to please.

The evening commences about 9:00 PM and some film footage is shown to provide historical background to the show as well as Carlos Gardel. The performers are on 2 levels, the lowest level is the stage where the dancers perform and above and behind them is the orchestra. The dinner was good but not great, the dinner was filling and includes either a glass of wine or a beer, however the show is outstanding. The show finishes about 11:30 PM. The price is not cheap but it is probably a once in a lifetime experience so why not?

A very enjoyable evening. The food, however, could have been better.

I used your excursions on a recent cruise and was pleased with the value, guides, etc.
Was quite happy with the tours. They produced what they said they would .....some tours a little better then others. One tour couldn't understand tour guide. Most were very good though.
The theater was a beautiful and impressive place. The food was somewhat hit and miss. Only two of the four people at our table received steak the way they ordered it. However, the portions were huge, so we just shared with each other. Our steak was tender and very flavorful. However, the folks at the table next to us said theirs was inedible. The Tango show was one of the most incredible performances we have ever seen.
