Evening at Cabaret Parisien
Travel directly from the pier area for the short transfer to the Hotel Nacional, an experience in itself. Built in 1930, it still features incredible treasures from that era, yet to be replaced by modern "conveniences". The main entrance is graced with vintage autos from the 1950 - still in operation today. The sprawling front desk is made from local hardwoods and brass fixtures, still featuring individual message boxes, often seen in films from the period. The Hotel is built on a knoll once occupied by a Spanish fort, created to guard Havana Harbor. The grounds are beautifully manicured, featuring several outdoor cocktail bars, roving bands of minstrels, and great views of the Malecon Havana's famous seawall boulevard.
Follow in the footsteps of Frank Sinatra, Ava Gardner, Buster Keaton, and Winston Churchill (to name but a few) who were former guests at the hotel. At the Cabaret Parisien, you will delight in the spectacular performance that is a fusion of Indo American, Latino and African cultures - the rich and varied ingredients of modern Cuban culture.
The show is on a much smaller scale than the Tropicana with fewer dancers, which makes it more intimate and cozy. The dancers are as beautiful as ever, and the costumes, choreography and routines excellent. Truly a well-choreographed, well-staged, well-orchestrated, well-lit and well-conceived show, the Cabaret Parisien is an event that should not be missed while in Havana.
Indulge in a wonderful dinner while at the show and when the performance is over you will be taken back to the pier area and your ship.

Great performance! Fun drive from the ship to the Hotel National and back in an oldies car. The food was so so, but who cares as the ambiance was perfect and the show awesome. I only wish we had gone a little earlier to wander around the hotel more.
