So glad we did this!

This excursion really exceeded my expectations! We arrived in the afternoon Sept 2022 and easily found the meeting point right off the gangway. We waited for about 25 mins before we all boarded the bus.The marina was about 20 minutes away and our bus driver was informative and funny along the way. The boat was quite large and they said it was brand new, and it looked it! It was very comfortable and warm and there was plenty of room to spread out. We saw at least a dozen humpback whales, mostly terminal dives/dorsal fins! The guides were very knowledgeable and ensured we had a great trip. One of them had a binder with identifying information on the whales we saw and could tell us their names and migration patterns, which was really cool. You really want binoculars for the best experience and dress warmly as it's quite chilly on the water. On the way back, we stopped off the main road near the river and got a photo with the Mendenhall glacier in the distance, which was an added bonus.

It was an amazing day! Full of sunshine beautiful clouds and lots and lots of whales. We didn't see any Orcas but we saw an exceptional amount of Hump Back whales. Our guides on the boat were helpful and very knowledgeable.

Whale Watching in Juneau

Our guides Rick & Katie were awesome, knew a lot. We saw 10-15 whales, a mother& baby, a sleeping whale and sea lion. Simply amazing. We were only 18 on the boat which made it nice. The guides had great stories about the whales - highly recommend using doing this trip - I was so excited about the whales I forgot to take pictures some of the times!

Whale Watching

We enjoyed this so much. We saw various types of whales for a total of 10. The owner and crew on the pontoon boat were excellent. We had a warm inside room to sit in after being on deck seeing the whales, alomg with coffee and soft drinks. I would recommend this excursion to anyone, no matter what their age.
