Exclusive Monte Carlo, Eze and La Turbie

Departing from the cruise pier in Monte Carlo with your driver / guide and a group of no more than eight, you will drive to the hilltop medieval Village of Eze, approximately 30 minutes away. During the drive, your driver/guide will point out what you are seeing. A stop will be made to take photos of this charming village clinging to the cliffside with its magnificent views overlooking the French Riviera. There will also be approximately 30 minutes for those brave enough to make the climb.

A stop will be made to visit the nearby perfume factory Fragonard, which has been producing scents for more than three generations.

A scenic drive will be taken through the hillside village of La Turbie, with its Trophy of the Alps, and scenic landscape.

Then, drive to the luxurious Principality of Monaco, where you will drive directly to the old town and enjoy an exterior visit to the Royal Prince Palace before walking to the Cathedral, where you will have an interior visit. You will then drive to the Casino Square and make a brief stop for photos of the exterior of the casino and enjoy time to view the gardens. This will be followed with a drive along a portion of the Monte Carlo Grand Prix circuit, as you make your way back to the pier area.

4 StarsGreat Intro to Monte CarloJuly 24, 2019

This was a comfortable, not too long trip to EZE, a fun visit to a fragrance factory, and a chance to see the changing of the guard in front of the Palace. The 8-passenger van was well air-conditioned on a very hot day, so we were quite pleased.

This was probably our best excursion we took on the 12 day Koningsdam sailing. Not only the guide was excellent but the transportation (5 people in the van) and itinerary was hard to beat. Monte Carlo and Eze are going to be on our minds forever. We will book the Costco Trips on our next sailings for sure.

5 StarsFantastic!July 08, 2019

We booked this excursion mainly because of the small group size, and were so glad we did! There were 3 couples plus the tour guide in our minivan, and it allowed us a very personalized tour of the sights. A larger vehicle could never have navigated the hairpin turns heading up into Eze, which was one of my favorite sights over the entire cruise. Our guide was fantastic... and she even customized the tour for us. Once she realized that none of us wanted to go into the casino at Monaco, she subbed in a few extra laps around the race track instead. This was our first ever Shore Excursion Group tour, but it would certainly not be our last!

We had 7 people in a van. A little crowded but our guide was nice and knew a lot.

Monte Carlo was a unique and beautiful place. The guide was knowledgeable, and super nice. The stop at Fragonard was educational and the staff there were very friendly, however, I could have done without the sales pitch for their perfumes.
