Florence and Pisa
The small city of Florence on the banks of the Arno River in northeastern Tuscany is incomparable in terms of its art and architecture. While in Florence you will also see the magnificent Piazza del Duomo with the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, Baptistery, Giotto's Bell tower, Piazza della Signoria, Piazza della Repubblica, and the elegant Ponte Vecchio (the old bridge). Our tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable of Florence. Our driver was even better. He definitely knew his way around. Dropped us off to visit Pisa in an awesome spot as we were free to explore on our own. We were very happy. This was our favorite excursion of our trip.

It was so nice to be picked up and dropped off directly at the cruise terminal, saving us precious time to get to Florence. Our group of 5 wanted to skip Pisa so we could have more time in Florence, so we were pleased our driver, Andrea, was flexible and accommodating. Andrea was also very knowledgeable and super friendly. Our tour guide in Florence was also very knowledgable and gave us great tips on where to eat in Florence. She moved us along at a reasonable pace (not too fast nor too slow), sharing lots of great information along the way. The only down side is that we paid the full tour price, which included skip-the-line tickets to see David at the Academia Museum, and later discovered the museum was free that day. Oh well ...

This tour started out wonderful. Our driver was so informative and spoke very well. She made an effort to tell us what she could about the areas and town we were driving through. She let us off in Pisa and gave us lots of time. She then drove us to Florence. This was a beautiful drive. She stopped at the top so we could take pictures and then thru the town its self. She was told the guide was running late so the driver showed us a lot and gave some history as well. She was wonderful! After she left us off with the guide and we waited for another group of for our guide we started. Our guide was not very good. She talked a lot about how hard it was to become a guide and her family. She lost a person at the 1st stop and that took time. Shel ost us when she turned a corner and our audio no longer picked her up. We spent a long time trying to find our way to the Church with the David and I could hear her however so many people... Needless to say our tour was not a tour it was a mess!

I booked this tour for me and my husband for a pick up from our ship, Crystal Serenity. There were 8 of us, which was a perfect size. Our driver was great. He drove us to Florence and on the way we stopped to take some photos. We met up with a nice young woman who took us into the museum. We then went on to Pisa. The entire day was terrific.
August, 2019 Small group of 8 touring Florence and Pisa. Our guide spoke great English and had so much knowledge. Extremely well organized tour and we experienced so much on this all day trip. I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting the area.
