St Kitts Island Highlights and Frigate Bay Beach Combo
Your St. Kitts Island Highlights Tour is full of interesting sites and informative background. It all starts in the French-built capital city of Basseterre. Although French, you will also see the British influence on the island in the Georgian architecture, cobblestone streets, and squares, and monuments.
Next on your St. Kitts excursion, you will visit Caribelle Batik set on the grounds of Romney Manor. Using ancient Indonesian methods to keep the dye from reaching the material, Caribelle has created many designs for which they have become associated. During your visit, you will see the artists demonstrating the techniques while you listen to an explanation from one of the experts.
Then it's on to Brimstone Hill Fortress, a world heritage site. At the site, a video presentation on the fortress is shown. This magnificent fortress, sitting impressively atop 38 acres of limestone and sulphur composites, is the result of 100 years of slave labor and has endured many wars fought between English, French and Spanish troops for its control.
From the fortress, your St. Kitts tour will return towards town via the Basseterre Caribbean Sea coastal road.
You will be dropped off at Vibes Beach Bar on Frigate Bay Beach. Upon arrival at the beach, you will be met at the bar, where sun, sand, a well-stocked beach bar, a splash of local culture, and friendly people are some of the comforts you will experience. After receiving your complimentary "Welcome Rum Punch or Fruit Punch" and beach chair, you will have approximately two hours to enjoy the sun and sand, and be inspired to do nothing but enjoy.
After you will have approximately two hours to enjoy the sun and sand, and be inspired to do nothing but enjoy. Local culinary dishes and cold beverages are available for purchase. Beach umbrellas can be rented for those wishing to zone out in the shade, there is usually a beach volleyball game going on, and the wonderful blue Caribbean is just steps away for beach walking or cooling off. Nearby, there are ocean kayaks and snorkel gear available for rental to explore the offshore reef.
At the designated time, you will be returned to the pier.

Well, the group was small, just the two of us. We were in a car, a taxi, the guide was nice and knowledgeable, stopped and let us visit and take all the pictures we wanted. the beach stop was nice. Would recommend the tour.

All I can say is book this excursion! If your lucky enough to get Sheldon Shield as your driver for the day, you will not be disapppinted! He was very knowledgeable and really enjoys showing you the island. After the island highlights we were the only ones going to the beach. Sheldon got off the bus, got us rum punch and made sure we got beach chairs and were satisfied before he would later come back and pick us up. Book this excursion! You will not regret it!

We were too late to book the mini speed boat excursion, so instead we decided to do the St. Kitts Island Highlights and the beach through this organization instead of the ship. From the moment we docked, it was very well organized. Sheldon, our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and very personable, and fun to be with. We learned so much from him. Beach was great, wish we had a bit more time on the beach, but unfortunately our stay in St. Kitts was quite short. We've booked one excursion through the ship as well, but were sorely disappointed! From now on we will definitely book all our excursions through "Shore Excursions Group".

Our guide showed us some real remarkable views and was well informed on the sights. He was prompt and polite. The Brimstone hill fort was amazing as well as the overlooks and plantations. The beach was awesome but much too short, but when the ship leaves you gotta be there.
Great tour, great tour company (Caribbean Journey Masters) and great guide (driver). The island is full of beauty and our driver was very informative about the many sites. A stop at the Caribelle Batik at Romney Manor was stunning and then it was onto Brimstone Hill Fortress which was stunning. The views from the Fortress were some of the prettiest I've seen in the Caribbean. Would highly recommend this cruise.
