Venice Gondola Ride
Enjoy the quintessential Venice experience: a traditional gondola ride. This tour provides the most economic way to tour Venice, in an authentic Venetian gondola. Although this is not a private tour, there is a maximum of only 6 passengers per gondola!
As you glide silently through a labyrinth of canals, visiting parts of the city that are only accessible by this kind of transportation, you'll appreciate a very different Venice far from the crowds of St. Mark's Square. Lined by sumptuous Venetian palaces and punctuated by delicate bridges, a passage through these enchanting waterways is like a journey back in time to the glorious days of the Venetian Republic.
You'll start your journey by traveling down the upper part of the Grand Canal, passing by the magnificent baroque Salute church, the ill fated Ca' Dario Palace, and the famous Guggenheim museum located in Peggy Guggenheim's former home, Palazzo Venier dei Leoni. Next, depart the Grand Canal and enjoy the more intimate labyrinth of small canals where you'll see other important landmarks that include the Fenice Opera House, Mozart's House, and the beautiful San Moise Church, to name a few.
The gondola ride is not narrated. Contrary to popular belief, gondoliers do not typically sing. Instead, they are known to row, and most speak only Italian.
Please Note: This tour departs from and returns to the St. Mark's Square area. Depending on your ship's docking location, a vaporetto, water shuttle, or walk may be required. Transportation between your ship and St. Mark's Square is not included in the tour price.

The meeting place for our guide was not exact so we asked around but no one knew. They should have a clearer meeting point, not just meet in at the Royal Gardens. It's such a busy place there and it's opened so if there's not an exact meeting point like meeting at the sign or something like that. The ride was not enjoyable since we panicked because we could not find our guide. Venice is a beautiful place the ride was very nice, except for the people who ran the ride.

It was inexpensive and cheesy but what a nice and fun time we had. The ride is shared--a total of 8 people are in the gondola. It was a little difficult finding the meeting point before the ride began as the entrance was closed due to renovation. Otherwise, this is a definite and you will save a lot of money going with Costco.

This was your basic Gondola ride. For the price we paid we had to share the gondola and we couldn't even sit near each other. To be honest, its probably better and cheaper to just find a gondola ride on your own when your there because I am sure its much cheaper and they are everywhere. So you will not have a problem finding one on your own.

We loved the gondola ride. This was on our bucket list and this did not disappoint. The organization of who went on which gondola was a bit crazy. In the end all worked out and the ride great. It is MUST DO in Venice.
