Dolphin Swim Adventure and Turtle Farm
The Dolphin Swim Adventure and Turtle Farm program was established especially for you, your family and the dolphins to share a series of sensational and safe activities, while establishing a unique bond of trust.
During the tour of Grand Cayman, you will personally interact with these highly intelligent and friendly sea mammals. In an approximately 30 minute orientation, your professional instructor will teach you about dolphins, their environment, and their behavior. You will also learn actual training techniques on this Grand Cayman excursion.
Once this is complete, you will enter the water (life jackets required) to thoroughly enjoy this incredible experience with the dolphins. You'll be pushed by a dolphin while on a Boogie Board, pulled by their pectoral fins, and go swimming with them!
This excursion in Grand Cayman is one hour, with 30 minutes of swim time. Group size is limited to 12 people to ensure a very personal experience. A professional photographer will be on hand taking pictures.
After your dolphin encounter, continue the fun with your included admission to the Turtle Farm, one of Grand Cayman's greatest tourist attractions, known around the world for its conservation programs, public awareness and entertainment. The farm includes over 500 turtles separated in tanks that show the progressive stages as they age. You will learn about turtle gender, reproduction, and the programs to keep them from becoming extinct. There is also a touch tank and many opportunities for photos of the turtles. The farm is located adjacent to the Dolphin Encounter.
Your excursion fee also entitles you to a discounted admission ($20 US per person) to the Boatswain's Beach Park. Here, you will find two swimming lagoons, a nature trail with a small cave system, Predator's Reef with sharks, groupers and eels, a lagoon for a snorkeling experience, and an aviary with Caymanian and Caribbean birds flying freely in an enclosed setting. Don't miss Cayman Street, with traditional buildings featuring distinctive, locally designed porches, doorways, gardens and local artisans, as well as restaurants and gift shops. There is certainly enough to make this a full day of fun for all ages.
In order to allow you to tour at your own speed at the Turtle Farm and/or the park, fees for the taxi to and from the Dolphin Park are not included in the tour price. This gives you the ability to return at your leisure. Just make sure to return before your ship's last tender time from shore.
There is no cost for observers for the dolphin portion only, and no need to reserve; you simply pay for transportation to and from the Dolphin Park. Observers must pay to visit the turtle farm or Boatswains Park. The facility has lockers , changing rooms, freshwater showers and a snack bar.
Pregnant women may not participate in this tour. All participants should be competent swimmers and comfortable with the use of mask, fins and snorkel. Each person is required to wear a life jacket. Sunblock, jewelry, watches, rings, bracelets, or any object which might scratch the dolphin is not permitted in the water with the dolphins. The instructors have the final say on what can and cannot be worn in the water with the dolphins. For security reasons, personal cameras are not allowed in the water, nor in the program area. A professional photographer will be on hand to take pictures, which will be available for purchase.

We had a lot of interaction with the dolphin and even some with a baby dolphin. It was soooo much fun! My husband and 16 year old son loved it too. Expensive but definitely worth it! And getting to hold the baby sea turtles and see the big ones up close was such a great opportunity too! Our ship docked at 9:00 and we took a taxi—about a 30 min drive—so our 11:00 time (be there at 10:45) was just right. I don’t think we could’ve made it to the 9:30 one. Taxis were readily available for the return trip and we enjoyed seeing the island on the drive. Note there is not a beach down by the center....it’s a sea wall and rocks. At the turtle place there’s a pond “beach” that costs extra that didn’t seem worth it unless maybe for a rest with little kids.

We had a blast swimming with the dolphins. We didn't get to go to the turtle farm because it was closed due to a mechanical failure.

Loved the dolphins but the turtle farm was closed due to mechanical failure so we missed that part of our excursion.

A life time experience with my family, good to have a package for both event.
My family of 5 had an amazing time on the excursion while in Grand Cayman. We did the pull and push. Our dolphin was very sweet. The trainer said she was 26 years old. It was a lot of fun. I would give a 5 star except for the pictures. The pictures were very high to me. And you have no choice if you want any because they do not allow any cameras.
