Heineken Experience and Canal Cruise
Get a literal taste of Amsterdam with this Amsterdam canal cruise that grants you admission to Heineken's original brewery. This tour isn't just for beer lovers; in addition to the complimentary entrance to the brewery, you'll take in the many sights and sounds of the city's elaborate canal system, which has been compared favorably to that of Venice, Italy.
On your Amsterdam canal and brewery tour, expect to see historic merchant houses, monumental church towers, and an array of other memorable architecture while you cruise the city's waterways. The canal system has a rich history dating back to the 1400s, when the first canal, Singel, was built and used as a moat around the city. Since then, the Amsterdam waterway system has grown to more than 160 canals and 1,200 bridges. The entire structure spans more than 60 miles.
The Heineken Experience is the other notable attraction you'll visit on this Amsterdam Heineken brewery tour. Built in 1837, the former Heineken Brewery has been transformed into a four-level interactive exhibit that will take you through the brewing and bottling process of the famous Dutch pilsner in a 4-D experience involving moving patforms, water sprays, and other cool effects. You'll also have the opportunity to enjoy 2 Heinekens or learn how to draw the perfect glass of Heineken, and see different artifacts from the brand's exhaustive history. Book this Amsterdam Heineken Experience tour today to experience the city from a unique and tasty perspective.
Please Note: This is a self-guided tour to explore at your leisure. The Heineken Experience takes at least 1 hour 30 minutes to complete and the canal cruise lasts for an hour. The opening hours for the Heineken Experience will be provided in your electronic ticket. The canal cruise departs every 20 minutes on a seasonal schedule.

We exchanged our canal ride portion for the hop on/off bus which worked better for us as we were on a timeline. It is truly an Experience which we highly recommend. Go early so you can spend as much time as you want.
