Explore deeper into the Alaskan wilderness than most tours go on a thrilling helicopter tour of Alaska's magnificent glaciers. This helicopter adventure excursion makes a stop on a remote glacier before touring some of the most secluded and beautiful natural formations in Alaska.

Get more flying time on this unique excursion over the backwoods of Alaska. Helicopter tour ground crew will help you aboard your modern helicopter before taking off on this fantastic Juneau helicopter excursion. In Alaska, helicopter tours are only the first step on your journey into the wild. Your experienced pilot will fly you over the gigantic ice formations, deep-blue crevasses and shimmering ice rivers of Alaska while pointing out the once in a lifetime views below.

Your helicopter adventure tour will take you over the spectacular rock formations and icefalls of the Juneau Icefield, bypassing the crowded Mendenhall Glacier, as you head toward more secluded glaciers such as the Herbert, Taku, Lemon or Norris Glacier, which are further from the heliport. Depending on weather and glacier conditions, your skilled pilot will choose the best glacier to touch down on and so you can do a little ice exploration.

Upon reaching your destination, your professional pilot becomes your experienced guide, shutting down the helicopter to escort you on an educational, relaxing walk across the glacier. Your guide will give you some details on your natural surrounding and deep history of these pristine ice formations. Snowshoes are provided to give you an authentic Alaskan experience on the frozen tundra.

After 20 minutes or so wandering the blue-hued surface of the glacier, you'll climb back aboard the helicopter and lift off, watching your tracks in the snow disappear below you as you climb high into the crisp, cool Alaskan air.

Your Juneau helicopter excursion continues your flightseeing journey even deeper into the Juneau Icefield to see some of its most remote peaks and glaciers, before heading back to the heliport. This Alaska helicopter tour lasts approximately 50 minutes, but will vary depending on which glacier your pilot determines to be the best on the day of your tour, based on weather and glacier conditions.

Don't miss your chance to see the glaciers in person before they disappear on this once in a lifetime tour of Alaska's icy natural marvels. Get the full picture of these giants from the helicopter before landing amongst the glaciers to get a greater understanding of their splendor.
