Your guided, cultural adventure of historical landmarks and monuments will begin after you have been greeted by your local, knowledgeable representative at the pier area. Set off to visit the Olympic Stadium, considered the largest stadium in the country, and the Sibelius Monument, a piece created by Eila Hiltunen dedicated to the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius.
You will then make your way to the Esplanade Park, the Old Market Hall, and the famous Market Square where local vendors display and sell fresh Finnish food and souvenirs. Make sure to get your camera ready to photograph the beauty of the Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral considered the main cathedral of the Orthodox Church of Finland, and the Senate Square, where you will be amazed by Carl Ludvig Engel's incredible architecture.
From there, you will hop on a ferry from the Helsinki Market Square to beautiful Suomenlinna. Here you will learn about the site's eventful history and visit some of Suomenlinna's main attractions, like King's Gate, Suomenlinna Church, Jetty Barracks, and the Great Courtyard.
Upon completion of this enriching and remarkable journey, your guide will return you to the Helsinki Market Square, so you can continue to take in the beauty of this incredible city on your own. The return to your ship and the pier area will be on your own at your leisure.

Weather was beautiful. We met our tour guide who was very punctual, friendly and knowledgable. We saw many highlights in Helsinki- The Suomenlinna naval fortress was a highlight- however I wish we had done that tour first- we were rushed to get the ferry there and back and I had to convince the tour guide to take us to the main Kings gate at the tip of the fortress which is one of the most if not the, most iconic point to see. Had we done Suomenlinna first we would have had enough time to freestyle in Helsinki at the market square, and to see other iconic buildings and landmarks- if time would have been a crunch we could have skipped one of the three churches we visited. We had a small group as it was one other family and ours- The city is great- shore excursions was on the button, the tour guide was good- but had the itinerary been more carefully examined we would have been able to have a little more time to take in the important things. It could have been a 5 star experience
