Because of Malta's strategic location, the tiny island has swapped many rulers and design influences over the ages. The medieval walled town of Mdina, which has a population under 300, once served as the capital. Now, it's your scenic departure point.
As you explore the "silent-city" from your comfortable vehicle, you'll feel the ages of history in the Norman and Barouque architecture. Venturing up the awe-inspiring bastions, you'll see a panoramic view of the island.
Departing Mdina, you'll drive southwest to Dingli Cliff for an amazing view of the small uninhabited island of Filfla.
After a tasty lunch, encounter the San Anton Botanic Gardens. The beauty of the rare plants, trees, and architecture will astound you. No reason why the President of Malta now calls this structure home.
Thereafter, head to St. Marija Assunta Church in Mosta to see the Rotunda, the world's third largest unsupported dome, dedicated to the Mary's ascendance into Heaven. Inside and out, the structure took 27 years to build and is absolutely awe inspiring.
Your last notable highlight includes seeing the island's talented craftsmen at Ta' Qali crafts center. Unique glassware, clothing, and furnishings are seen being made and are available for purchase. This comprehensive Valetta tour is an ideal way to cover all of your Malta sightseeing bases. Book today for an incredible shore excursion at a low price.

My experience on Malta was absolutely fabulous. This excursion gives you the full view of life on this island. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant when giving answers to some of our dumb questions.
Tour interesting and designed to cater for a variety of interests, the walking tours of Rabat and Mdina would appeal to most but other sites visited may not appeal to all. Overall value for money.
