Your journey to the mystical side of Naples begins at Gesu Nuovo square with its Obelisk of the Immaculate, and the Churches of the Gesu Nuovo and Santa Chiara are visible. In your small group, you will learn of the esotericism and mystery that have evolved here through the centuries and are evident as you walk through the alleys and to the hidden places of the city.

At the 16th century San Severo Chapel you will learn about Raimondo di Sangro, the Prince of San Severo, and his penchant for the unusual. The prince was a true Renaissance man who was involved in the sciences, practiced alchemy, and was a mystic and inventor. While here see the suggestive statue of the Veiled Christ as well as the human anatomical machines and other curiosities the prince built.

Your tour will also take you along Via Tribunali, Via San Gregoria Armeno and the Spaccanapoli with its vibrant artisan shops, bars, and restaurants, and will give you a good introduction into the esoteric world of Naples.
