Horse Back Trail Ride
Horse Back Trail Ride
For this wonderful Malta horseback trail ride excursion, you'll be picked up at the cruise terminal and driven up to the north side of Malta.
Your professional team will help you get saddled up for a unique tour through paths that typically only see horses, hoofs and farmers' scythes. These well-trained horses will help you feel the fresh breeze through the cliffs and the countryside of Northern Malta.
Begin your tour in scenic Bidnija and ride past farmers' homes and well-tilled fields. Relax as your tour guide leads you through the grassy knoll near Wardija.
Then ride through the green countryside and picturesque villages on horseback. The total riding time is approximately 60 minutes.
My fiance and I can't stop talking about how fun it was to go horseback riding in Malta! We met some new friends and enjoyed the whole experience. The company picked us up on time and got us back to our original location just as promised. The experience was something we won't forget.
Friendly English speaking guide picked us up and drove us to their ranch. She was happy to answer questions about Malta but I like when they impart local/historical information during the activity too. The ride itself was unusual as there were about four guides but they walked beside some horses. None of them were riding horses. Some horses were a little spirited (they warned us about getting too close). I don’t mind this as I prefer it to nose-to-tail rides but I think that’s why the guides walked. Beginners/kids were on very steady horses. The ride was through the back roads of the countryside, lined on either side by rock walls. Glad nobody fell off! On our way back to the ship, they stopped briefly at a cathedral for us to have a quick peek. After being dropped off, we had some time to walk around old Valletta for a bit although we were so hot that we didn’t stay long. If I came back to Malta I would prefer to see more of the architecture and history
This was a great time...from the ride out there until we get off the horses. The family that runs the place were very accommodating. I would highly recommend it
