Jerusalem and The Dead Sea

The scriptures will literally come alive for you as you leave the Port of Haifa and travel to the walled city of old Jerusalem. Explore the Christian, Jewish and Armenian quarters and stand at the famed Wailing Wall, with its written prayers stuffed into the wall's surface.

On the Via Dolorosa, you can walk the same path that Jesus took to his death. While in town you will also see the Church of the Holy Sepulchre located over Jesus' burial tomb, as well as the Temple Mount and King David's Citadel.

Stroll in the Arab Market and go just outside the city walls to see Mount Zion, King David's tomb, and the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed with his disciples the night before his crucifixion.

From there you will take a scenic ride out to the Dead Sea, a salt lake located on the lowest point of land and one of the world's most popular health resorts starting with Herod the Great. You will have the option of stepping into its therapeutic waters and floating along while the sea's high mineral content supports you. If you choose to not go into the waters of the Dead Sea, you also have the option of purchasing a snack and beverage at the cafeteria located on the beach. From there, you can enjoy your snack and take in the magnificent views.
