Key West Jet Boat Tour
Key West Jet Boat Tour
You'll never know there's so much to see around Key West until you see it on your own jet boat tour.
After boarding your direct-drive jet propulsion system boat, you will set out with the jet ski tour group from the Mallory Square area, passing the Historic Seaport on your way towards the U.S. Navy training area. Your boat can hold up to four people (weight restriction applies), making it perfect for families with kids or guests who don't want to ride on a jet ski. Along the way, you will see some of the other islands, several of which are private residential areas.
On this Key West shore excursion you will travel through the backcountry where, although wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed, there is a strong chance of seeing dolphins and manta rays playing in their natural environment. The nearby mangroves are also home to many of the Keys' native birds.
You will pass by the old submarine pits that were built during the Cuban Missile Crisis. You might see (and hear) fighter jets fly overhead from the military airbase located nearby.
A stop will be made at a sandbar for a chance to swim in the beautiful, waist-deep waters of the Keys. You will then continue on to Southernmost Point, seeing it from a perspective most visitors don't - from the water. Your tour then circles the west end of the island, where the grounds of Fort Zachary Taylor have been made into a historical park, and ends back near Mallory Square.
Please note: Maximum number of riders per jet boat is four, with a maximum weight of 750 pounds combined. All operators (drivers) must have a valid government-issued ID, and there are additional restrictions for operators under the age of 27 (see restrictions).
You must be 18 years of age to rent a jetboat. All operators 18 and up must have a valid government issued identification (drivers license, passport, military ID,)
If you are 18 to 27 years old,you must take an open book 26 question boaters safety test (required by law) before the tour.
Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Guests 14 years to 17 years can operate a jetboat only with a parent or guardian on the back of the same jetboat.
Total weight per jet boat is 750 pounds. Due to the potential bumpy ride, guests with neck, back or hip problems and pregnant woman cannot participate.
