Ketchikan Sailing Adventure

This is a very unique sailing tour on Alaska's only Tri-Marans, experience the beauty and grandeur that is Southeast Alaska from the water when you set sail for an adventure unlike any other.

Meet your local, friendly representative directly on the dock area next to your ship and depart for the location where you will join your knowledgeable guides and be outfitted with your own Tri-Maran. The tour includes training and instruction on the operation of the Tri-Maran as well as waterproof clothing on days when it may be required.

Along with your guide, set sail on the Tongass Narrows with sweeping scenic views and the chance to see some whales and other marine life up close and personal. Along the way you will want to keep your eyes focused on the shoreline as you may have the chance to see bears too.

Sail to Americas only Native Alaskan Reserve while your guide provides you with continued information about the local area and history of the city. Each day on the water provides a different and unique opportunity to explore, your guide can suggest and customize your tour depending on the particular conditions and wildlife on any given day.

5 StarsWhole Family was blown awayNovember 01, 2019

OK, this was a lot of money for the whole family - but it IS really worth it. We took the longer ("Sailing and Crab Feast") trip, to give us more chance to see the Whales - even though we saw the Whales early on, we were still happy with the longer trip, as there was no rush. We saw a family of bears and followed them up the narrows. They came so close and had no fear of us whatsoever - they don't see humans as a food source, or as a threat, so they are very relaxed (as long as we stayed quiet). Such an intimate experience being able to get a few meters away from Humpback Whales bubble net feeding. We took a Whale watching tour in Juneau but this was far better. A beautiful trip we shall remember for a life time.

We were so excited to go sailing and couldn’t believe how close we got to Humpback whales. Super easy to sail and when the winds died down they were still fast just peddling them. Wish we had extended the tour longer as we could have done that all day. We are 100% coming back and taking one of Dominic’s multi day tours.

Never sailed before and Dominic made the experience breathtaking. We drove out of town and Dominic gave us history of the town as we made our way to Salmon Falls. We basically did the safety procedures in the van so that we didn't loose time on the tri-marans. We sailed for about three hours and in that time we got to experience something that i will never forget. we were about thirty feet fro 5 humpback whales bubble feeding. we followed then for about two hours watching them feed before we started heading back. The Tri-Marans were amazing and so easy to sail. in fact on the way back the wind died but you can peddle and they go super fast just peddling them.

So we came into town on whats best described as a bad day for weather. It didnt look like it but Dominic warned us the currents were really bad. Dominic gave us a couple of options and one was to sail for a couple of hours and see if we could handle it then he would take us on a wildlife trip for two hours. We choose this option and wow we were glag. we actually sailed for about one hour as the currents were terrible. So weird because it looked fine but even when Dominic was telling us about the water we didnt understand untill we got on the water. Glad he was so honest with us because he sure knows his stuff. Sailing and seeing bears was amazing. well worth the money.
